For knocking off the Celts.

I think they're the favorite now to win it all.

They were the better team.

Boston was not prepared. Not sure when they will ever be in a serious discussion regarding them having a good shot at winning the championship.

Great job by Miami Heat to close things out

Could easily be 3-2 Boston but they beat themselves in the last two games. IMO vegas would have the Heat as the fav now but the Mavs are playing better ball.

Boston should have a lot to look forward to, if they can be patient - the only guys signed through the 2012-2013 season are PP, Rondo, and a few rookies I believe. Getting KG and Jermaine O'Neal off the books will be huge (I don't say this because I discount KG's importance, just that he's going to be taking up a TON of cap room next season).

Miami looks to be the favorite, I'm rooting for the Bulls now though.

Boston was way too banged up

Rondo - arm
Pierce - foot
KG - knee
West - shoulder
Allen - chest
Shaq - foot

And yet it was close. A healthy Boston wins easily.

A healthy boston, lol. By healthy, do you mean if their core was 27-29 years old again instead of 33-35? KG (knee) and Pierce (foot) are ridiculous, thats minor ailments you could say about any team. Shaq is old and was hurt all year. Rondo is the only injury that mattered and even with him it wouldn't stop Bostons #1 problem which is scoring in the 4th quarter.

Also no, it wasn't close. Miami won in 5 games......Nobody considers 5 games close but if you do then I guess Miami/Philly was close too.

The Celts can't rebound or score in the 4th quarter. Probably two things you need to do to win in the NBA playoffs. Was a fun run and the 2008 title was great but its over now guys...

Danny Ainge destroyed this team. He took away their strength and biggest advantage they had over Miami, toughness and the paint. Also traded their spark-plug off the bench. He obtained two dear in the head-lights type players, although they were decent in game 5, and decent is the best they ever were. Collectively, he destroyed their moxie.

Worst GM of the year award goes to Danny Fucking Ainge

The Celts lost this series cause they couldn't score in the halfcourt vs Miami. I doubt Perk is helping them score considering he is 1 of the worst offensive players that starts in the NBA (has other strengths)

I do agree the JGreen/Perk deal was suspect but I think Miami just matched up very well with Boston and also the age caught up to the team.

how many times did you see the Heat take it to the hoop for an easy score? without consequence? how many times did the Heat come up with a important offensive rebound in the 4th qtr?

doesn't happen with Perk there

and that enables the other players to be more aggressive on the perimeter

It was a closer series than the 4-1 outcome makes it seem, but yes - at the same time Miami had two guys step it up, Boston had three guys slow down.

I definitely think combo of healthy Rondo + Perk still in Boston + homecourt adv (had Cs not lost down the stretch with Perk, which we dont know if it wouldve happened) would make this series much much more competitive and Celts would have had a good shot in that circumstance. However, I think we can all agree this is ridiculous...

Ray Allen chest? Pierce foot? KG knee? Um ok...I'm sure everyone on Miami is just perfectly healthy as well 90 games into the season
