Seems like the only guys that you heard of 10 years ago were Tiger, Duval and Sergio. When's the last time one of them won a tourney?

He has had major back problems since early in 2000 when he sprained a vertebra and thru his back out. This caused him to change his swing totally to compensate for the pain and its been all downhill since.

would rather see david duval win ... seriously though , i would really like to see him on top the leaderboard again.. just dont see it happening though.

the guy had vertigo .. impossible to play golf ( or do much else ) with that going on.

Duval fell in love and married a chick w/ 3 kids. He liked to go snowboarding in Colorado in the off-season and met her out there. He lives in Denver now and has not been the same golfer since then. He is from Jacksonville (and The Players Championship is his hometown tournament). Here is a decent article that kinda sums it up:

He got vertigo, which can't be good for your golf. On a good day he's fine. On a bad day, he can barely stand up. No way to play 4 good days in a row.

Sounds like he's had all kinds of physical issues. Does he even have a tour card anymore or is he playing on exemptions (former champ at TPC, sponsors, etc.)?

Duval was such a dick at Ga Tech that his teamates wanted no part of him. He had to ride to tournaments with his coach. A Richard Head, he was. lt

I still remember his 2006 PGA tourney which Michelle Wie also entered, and she kicked Duvall's ass. How embarrassing. The former #1 golfs worse than a 15 yr old girl.

he was a hot golfer for a brief while. i don't follow golf real close so i never knew his issues until reading some of these posts.
