After finishing a 6-0 homestand by sweeping both Colorado and Arizona, the Giants have taken over first place in the NL West. Their starting pitching is beginning to round into form with Lincecum, Sanchez, Cain, Vogelsong (in place of Zito), and Bumgarner. Their middle relief has been outstanding and closer Brian (The Beard) Wilson went 3-0 plus 2 saves in the homestand.

After a slow start due to numerous injuries, they are now both healthy and the bench is deep as Torres, Ross an DeRosa (in for Sandoval whose on the DL) have returned and they are getting clutch hitting throughout the line-up.

The Rockies are collapsing rapidly after their early season heated month of April and the Dodgers, Diamondbacks and Padres are playing below .500 baseball. Anyone with the Over 87.5 wins should just sit back and relax as this team is just beginning to roll and it's only May. @):)

i don't know abt that lineup. huff could revert back to some of his lousy yrs. 3.5 lousy to 1.5 good seasons. that's abt his ratio. yesterday posey was pulled after taking shots to his mask and was held out today. he's only hitting .245 so far this yr, w/not much power. derosa, not that hot. tejada, not that hot, although, i do like the guy & what he is doing right now, filling in at 3b for sandoval. this lineup, i'm not buying yet. i do think they are the fav to pick up jose reyes, cause they have the dough & they have a history of making moves. love their pitching, all of it, starters and bullpen. they are the champs and they do have a real nice team there.

its amazing how their team is built so much around pitching...you can basically take every opponent of theirs and take the +1 1/2 line and you cash 80% of the time

i never thought, at any time, that cgon or tulo would have stats like they do now. a fortnight or so ago, i thought tulo might win the triple crown. a lot of shit has changed since then. that's baseball, though. did ubaldo sign a big contract or wtf is going on there?
