Toronto handed him the game with 5 errors that led to a bunch of scoring chances. I'm bitter.

Provided he stays healthy really no reason why he won't be.

The Rays need help today CMON Jeremy:
Looking for a league leading 7 th win today...
Hellickson (6-3, 2.80 ERA) may provide some relief for Tampa Bay as he attempts to tie the league lead in wins in his first meeting with the Mariners.
The right-hander is 5-1 with a 1.83 ERA in his last six starts, holding opponents to .187 at the plate and scoreless in three of them. He turned in another superb outing Sunday, yielding three hits and fanning six in seven innings of a 7-0 win over Cleveland and was named AL rookie and pitcher of the month.
"He's definitely a candidate," manager Joe Maddon said of Hellickson's chances to be AL Rookie of the Year. "I really believe as he gains more experience, you're going to see him get even better. He has not been as sharp with his fastball command as he can. Once that arrives, he's really going to take off."

Been awhile since a native IOWAN has played in the ALLSTAR game.............Jeremy is contending.

A win tonight would be huge, as no pitcher in baseball would have more WINS on the year.

8/20/2011:

Jeremy Hellickson was magnificent on Saturday. The rookie right-hander pitched eight shutout innings to lead the Tampa Bay Rays to an 8-0 drubbing of the Seattle Mariners at Tropicana Field.

Hellickson (11-8) gave up six hits, fanned five and issued only one walk. Joel Peralta tossed the ninth.

"He pitched better tonight than his last time out," Rays manager Joe Maddon said. "His fastball command was a lot better."

The Mariners are the worst hitting team in baseball.

Good Luck with The PHILLIES

Jeremy Hellickson starts the opener, unsure how many games he'll get with the Phillies. They got him from Arizona in a trade last November to add a veteran to their young staff. He can become a free agent at the end of the season, so there's a chance he could be dealt in July.
