people whine about the same teams always being in the final.

now those same whiners can sit down and watch this.

while markets have some play, name value is more important. durant, dirk, rose, lebron, wade will get the ratings alone.

The NBA would love to have the Bulls. Besides being the #3 market in the country they very well might have the largest fan base in the WORLD. It has always been impressive that the Bulls ever since MJ retired have continued to lead the league in attendance (or be near the very top).

The Bulls post MJ have still being one the the NBA's most valuable brands.

The Chicago Bulls could go 0-82 and they would still be ranked in the top 10 most valuable NBA teams. The Bulls are not even close to what the Lakers are globally.

and the finals will have a pretty solid number regardless of who is in it. even the spurs in there hey day were pulling 7.0-8.0's.
i think this card the op is pulling is overplayed.

i think they'd love to see Dallas-Miami, and how ironic it would be that after Dirk and Cuban finally make it back to a final, that they would meet the same team who crushed them years ago in the finals, with a totally different roster.....Dirk could finally have a shot to exercise those demons from the blown leads and giving the series away.......

would be a fun series

Bulls-Thunder would be a great matchup. The likable young guns of the NBA Rose, Westbrook, Durant. OKC great offense, Bulls great defense.

Grizz v. anybody would be brutal. Just don't like watching that team play, not sure why.

You're right, but they are back as one of the most valuable now. Rose is the most likable, insanely talented young player in the league since MJ, and Chicago is nuts for him, for good reason, as a local kid. Bulls fandom travels well too, it was hard to tell who the home teams were when the games were in Indy and Atlanta.

It's weird to be pulling for the Bulls, but I don't want Miami in the finals. I can't stand Mark Cuban either, so I hope that we don't see another Miami-Dallas matchup.
