How does this make sense??

I assume the Bulls would be favored in 4 of the games since the homecourt and better seeding...

Was I missing something??

At best the Heat would be assumed even to start the series if not a slight dog using common sense.

I know this post is after game 1, but still Bulls would be favored on a game by game basis no matter.

Question is: what was I missing?

I think they got it right for a game 1...now I believe heat will be favored in the next 3 games

What you're missing (I think) is the admittedly Very Unusual national adulation with the MiamiThree and their season-long quest (since last summer) to win it all.

That pushes the Heat into a favorite role, home court advantage be damned......(that another mistake on part of JQ Public as he fails to respect the very real six to seven point swing that exists between home & away.

So the price jumps up and the money flows on Miami to push it to the -200 range

Meanwhile, it's time for Game 1 to be In Your Face....and by that I mean, it's not something that lasts two weeks...It's two and a half hours and suddenly even JQP cannot overturn the Bulls home fave role. Now we would think it worthy of more like four, 4.5 maybe even 5....But it's down to two.

Chicago will be the favorite for all their home games. I am guessing 2 will be the number for Chicago games and heat will be favored by 3-4 in there home games.
