I dont think I'd take another player over him right now if I were drafting a team.

Carlos Gonzalez needs to be in the discussion. He's younger than all of the players mentioned. Ryan Zimmerman and Evan Longoria deserve consideration as well. The scary thing about all of this is that Felix Hernandez is a year younger than CarGo and Longoria. He just turned 25 a month ago. I doubt anyone would go with a pitcher here but it is worth noting.

Hell, guys like Jason Heyward just turned 21 a month ago as well. Mike Stanton is another 21-year-old that should be hitting 30-45 home runs a year for a very long time. Where do these guys fit in?

Votto is definitely better now but he's also 27 or 28. In this fantasy draft idea, I'm not sure he'd go ahead of some younger guys. I love Joey though...

Just talking strictly the best player right now, not who has the most franchise value, i'd go with Jose Bautista.

When discussing franchise value there are alot of relatives. Tulowitski I don't think would be first considering his contract, teams would go for a young player who still has arbitration years left, or a player with a friendly contract. Hanley Ramirez comes to mind even though he's having an atrocious season. Longoria has a very friendly contract as well.

I love Car-Go myself (remember 16 months ago we were the only two touting him) but this year his swing is a little messed up.
From what I've seen lately, he's starting to get his groove back, but right here, right now, JB in Toronto is the best in the business, followed by (in no particular order) Votto, Tulo, Pujols, Longoria, and how can you not throw Curtis Granderson and Gonzo of Boston in the mix
