The former Wake Forest student who is alleging a sexual assault involving two former Wake Forest basketball players in a Miami bathroom broke the media shield of confidentiality on Thursday morning by appearing on the “Today” show.

Maggie Hurt, a former band member at Wake Forest, claimed that Gary Clark, who just graduated this month, and Jeff Teague, a two-year member of the NBA's Atlanta Hawks, invited her to a party back at their hotel room after the Demon Deacons were eliminated from the 2009 NCAA tournament. Hurt claimed that once she arrived, the room was empty. She also claimed that she was forced into a bathroom and made to perform oral sex on Clark.

“They opened the door, it was complete dark, and I was physically shoved from behind into the room,” Hurt told NBC. “I was scared. He had big hands. He could palm a basketball and it was on the back of my neck. I felt like if I didn’t do what he asked, he would hurt me.”

Hurt also alleged that Teague guarded the bathroom door while the assault took place.

Miami police were not immediately notified. Instead, Hurt reported her allegations to Wake Forest campus police once she returned to Winston-Salem. Hurt also claimed that campus police told her that her best option was a campus hearing, not to call Miami authorities.

Hurt did, eventually, contact Miami PD two months after the alleged incident, but no charges were filed.

According to Winston-Salem, N.C., attorney Mike Grace, both players cooperated with authorities and with a university probe. The university cleared them of any wrongdoing.

“I allowed two hard-nosed Miami police detectives to question my clients thoroughly, and they didn't prosecute,” Grace told ESPN. "Gary admitted that the young woman performed oral sex. But she never ever complained that there was any force.”

Clark told Miami police that the act was consensual.

Hurt and her mother also claimed the Wake Forest attempted to cover up the incident for financial reasons.

“They knew from the minute my daughter walked into that police department that they were going to get this case and make it disappear,” said Lori Hurt, the accuser’s mother.

“I felt like this school did it on purpose because that was the way they got their money,” Maggie Hurt said. “What they did was wrong, and I want them to know that I haven’t forgotten about it. I will never forget about it.”

I'm sorry, but if somebody is asking me to suck their dick I'm going to take the chance of getting backhanded before I drop to my knees.

Nobody but the three in question will ever really know what happened, but I have my suspicions about this one...
