I want to see the end of this damn show..it was on and off again for a year and I put my precious time into watching the show. I want to see what happens!! I can see sitcoms and single show dramas (new story each week) being cancelled but for a continuing story and building drama it pisses me off. Too bad there is not a company that could film 2 more episodes and wrap up the series/show and broadcast privately/pay-for-view type thing.

What other shows like this were cancelled midstream that left you hanging?

Well it wasn't really cancelled where I feel like I missed the super ending, but I'm still pissed that Arrested Development got the ax. That show was one of the best ever.

Last Friday the 13th was black friday for a lot of good shows cancellations. Detroit 187 I thought was a good show, and it also got cancelled. V I thought was a little bit of an overbloated sci-fi show from the very start. And to me it became a little dull and hard to get into as it went along. So I'm not really surprised at it's cancelling.

how could it not get cancelled.........when the idiotic network launches it and then , after 4 or 5 episodes? .........puts it to rest for a few months???

whatever momentum it had, was killed right then and there.

what a shame they cant continue with Marc Singer playing in V again ............total wasted opportunity

With the way new shows get canceled now, my wife will not invest time in a new show any longer. I'm starting to think she's got it right.

Over the past few years, I put time into The Event, Flash Forward, The Cape, Detroit 1-8-7, Law & Order LA, Chicago Code, Jericho, The Defenders, The Gates, etc. A few year back there was a show called Cane, with Jimmy Smits, that I thought was good, but it got killed because of the writers strike.

It's just not worth it, anymore, to put time into new shows that will likely never have an actual ending.

Detroit 1-8-7 I watched every week, that show found it's groove, then, whack.

Networks don't want any part of scripted shows anymore, now, it's all DWTS, X-Factor, Idol, Biggest Loser.
No overhead, no writers, no nothing, just a stage (for the most part) a panel of washed up judges, instant 19 Nielsen shares.

Fringe is another one I couldn't follow.

I watched two, maybe three episodes of FRINGE in it's initial season and instantly realized it would only be viable once it was available to watch entire season(s) on DVD.

Waited and watched and the first two seasons were an extremely high level of television writing and plotting.

All of the above posts miss the elephant in the room. That is, "BROTHERS AND SISTERS" also got axed after five seasons and the "final episode" was not announced until the week after it aired.

SheBar is officially in mourning as this jacks up her Sunday Night Trifecta of Army Wives, Desparate HouseHos and then B&S

I have to agree, yet there's always a show on HBO/Showtime/Starz that reels me in all over again. I still have bitterness for the way Rome, Carnivale, and Deadwood were axed.

^ Cape got cancelled as well

How can these networks cancel a well acted drama like Detroit 187 and keep a show like Chuck, which is absolutely terrible. None of these networks know what the hell their doing. I'm actually starting to feel some sympathy for that idiot Charlie Sheen.
