I will walk in the spring, on a couple diff courses...its too hot in Texas during the summer to walk and most of the courses I play are so spread out it wouldn't be much fun. The two courses I walk are muni grandpa courses

Usually smuggle a 12 pack in the bag... So a cart helps...

May invest in a pull cart for the local courses...

I always chuckle when people say they walk the course for exercise. If that's your idea of exercise you are out of shape.

I always get a cart, never ever walk.

If I ran a golf course (that tends to get crowded), I'd allow walker's, but it would cost an extra 20$ a round to do so.

Depends on the course. Flat easy muni-type courses, I walk. Very hilly courses, I ride. Some of the courses up in the foothills around LA are mountainous (Anaheim Hills, e.g.). And some courses have a mandatory cart rule.

Did you move back to Iowa??? buffalo ???

Good luck with that in the coming months, sir.

This is one of the reasons for my move back to Vegas............ one can walk a course 12 months a year there, .......unlike Iowa, Buffalo, or Florida.

Your post brings back a memory of when the great Jack Nicklaus played a very hilly 2nd. or 3 rd. tier golf course in Portland called Mt. Scott. He ended up walking off halfway through his round with a comment " I'm no Billygoat ". I think the course was actually called " Top of Scott Golf course ". I played it many times when I lived in nearby Happy Valley, Oregon. You reaaly didn't want to walk it if you had a heart condition.:lolBIG:
