OK last week I switched to ATT service for my phone, got the Samsung Infuse, i have a tower close to my house so for some reason i dont get service because i am too close? whatever, who knows, great phone though....so i called to get myself a microcell the little tower thing you put in your house to get 5 bars of service in my home....it was a long process to get but i got it through customer care on the phone, so they told me i had to go to my local corporate store to pick it up, i called the store to make sure it was there before i drove an hour to get it i spoke to an employee he said its in my notes they have it etc etc.... that is when the fun starts..

i guess when the corporate store gives them out it costs them money since they are free? i have NO IDEA, but the manager thought i was some dummy i guess, so he looked into me account notes and he told me that i was NOT approved for this microcell and i have to pay the money for it etc etc.. @):mad:idiot...

I told him to call customer care, he did and i have no idea what they said to him over the phone but he quickly hung up and told me sorry they cant give it to me, i got a little mad i walked out the store i was fuming mad when i got back in...then i realized :ohno: to go to another ATT store and have them show me the notes where it says i get the micro cell and then i can go back to corporate store and show them...so that i did, then walked in recorded it on my phone when i asked the guy again if i can have my microcell that i had been promised he still says no...then i show him the notes, tell him at 1:40 a customer care rep notated that i get this device free...

then i went on to tell him that i spoke to one of his employees over the phone before i came and he said it was in my notes, so this guy was clearly lying and trying to play me for dumb..well that i am not

so the scumbag had me removed by security because he knew i was wrong and made him look like an ass... drove 20 mins away to another corporate store which gave it to me right away...

so now what do i do? file a lawsuit against ATT? call them up and have them investigate it with my proof and theirs and try to get some freebies? cancel the plan? what do i do? this is now fun... at first i was mad but now i feel like this will be interesting...what would you do? @)@)@)

are all their stores, Company owned ??

Doesn't sound like that one was.... because they shouldn't be trying to make money on it, if he came from corporate.

Never liked AT&T, but I would contact someone and tell them you got the run around from this Guy and that Store.
I think the only thing you will get out of it is maybe $50 off your next Bill or something like that.

yes it was corporate owned company store that is why i went there to pick up the microcell, other ATT stores dont have them only the big ones... that is why i was shocked!!!...and in front of people he kept saying i was lying, pretty sad

I had the same problem going on right now. Changed phones last week, and upgraded to the i phone. The guy that sold it to me has been selling me phones for 15 years and he told me to call customer service and tell them i can't get service. he said they will give me one on a trial basis for a year and then forget about it.I did call and got the run around for about thirty minutes and told them i have been getting phones from them for 15 years and if they don't i will take the three land lines out of my house, switch to verizon and get one from them. Finally they tell me to go to a outlet down town on a friday. I get there and they say they have no record and only have one in the store and it is a sample. I'm going in there fuming Monday morning. They want me to pay 150.00 and 20.00 month. I bet i get my tower or shut off three phones.

By the way, you better keep a close watch on your bills. One of those investigative news channels just did an expose on AT+T. Seems like ol' AT+T keep on adding on charges that you never made. They took a phone and disabled all the features that there could be a charge for, and just left it on to see what would happen. AT+T added plenty of charges to the bill, even though the phone was set up to NOT make any charges. A lot of these charges come in the wee A.M. hours when no one would be using their phones anyway. Just beware. I've seen AT+T use these tactics before with land line phones.

Got throughly screwed. Bought a I phone for my granddaughter and had her switch from Verizon. Customer service had promised me a Booster and told me to go downtown and pick it up. The manager at the store said customer service can't give them out free and that the marketing dept has to randomly pick someone.They could not even give me a price. They have no idea what they are doing. I told them my phone was 45 days old and could not be used at my house. they said i should have said something before the thirty days were up.I have atand t for 12 years and not a problem. Thats it for me.
