Whats up fellas. My gf and I will be doing a memorial day getaway in tampa this weekend. Friday, sat, & sun. I live 3.5 hrs east of tampa in st.augustine. We are definitely going to take in a rays vs. indians game, but other than that, we are just playing it by ear. I am 37, and she is 30, and pretty much like everything.

Got a pretty decent deal at the Marriott in Clearwater through priceline for 3 nights.

I know in previous posts some have suggested the following....

Hard Rock for a little gambling. Anything else cool going on here for the weekend of memorial day?

Busch Gardens - not a huge fan of rollercoasters, and dont wanna drop lots of money
The Florida Aquarium - ripoff? worth a trip?
Lobster Pot - for good seafood...other good dinner spots off the beaten path??
Beach - Clearwater beach (Pier 60)...Fort desoto park....Honeymoon/Caladesi Island
International plaza - not really sure about this??
Sports Bars - any good sports bars near my area worthy of catching some NBA playoffs during the weekend?

Not a big time roller by any means, but dont mind spending a few pennies on a good dinner out and a good time. Just really open to anything you locals can come up with.

thanks everyone

Just saw this thread and was going to suggest you hire FISHHEAD as a tour guide....He's not cheap, but he Knows His Stuff

BUT, I see he's already checked in here so I'll leave you two to figure out the details of his employ.

I just spent a week down in Siesta key, which is like 45 minutes away..Might not be a better beach imo in the area..

Whitest/softest sand you will come across

H&C, what does "my place" mean?

I've heard friendly reviews of that Bungalow from JP and his crew on 1010 Sports radio

Right on....I greatly preefer the shared exchanges on both 1010 and 1040 most days rather than the one-man show on 620. I'm guessing the ad rates are quite a bit different
