dallas is the better team with a deep bench. i love the starting 5 of

PG Kidd
SG terry
SF Marion
PF Nowitzki
C chandler

3 of those 5 are legit 3 three point threats, they have a dominator in chandler on the boards, defensive stallworth in marion and nowitzki can get anywhere on the court.

they also have a very solid bench of barea, stojakovic, haywood and stevenson

Put Lebron on Dirk to slow him down or possibly stop him (LeBron's D has been sick in the playoffs), then you have Miami domination in three of 5 positions. Hopefully a good series, but I see the Heat in 5. If that holds true with a Miami domination, then NBA will hopefully retract to 12 markets. Only way to make it competitive. Otherwise, we may see the Heat win like 7 in a row.

.....defensive stallworth in marion.....

I do not think that word means what you think it means

I'm sorry, I just don't agree. MIA is playing best when it matters most. They will be the fav and should be.

I think Miami should be favored. But not by much. This still looks like a close series to me. If Miami wins this year, I have a feeling that they will be the NBA champs for a few years to come if they can hold the nucleus of this team together. Though Dallas beat them twice in the regular season, Miami has really stepped it up at the end of the season and into these playoffs. Plus they are playing a more physical brand of basketball. More so than the Thunder played against Dallas. Where the Thunder attempted way too many pull up jumpshots, Miami will be more apt to take it to the glass. Plus OKC is young and hasn't learned yet on how to finish a game. With their experience, I doubt Miami will have the same problem. Especially since they play better defense than OKC. With Jason Kidd in there, Dallas does have a better half court offense. I also think they are better coached. Which is why I think this series goes at least 6 maybe 7 games.

Miami willed be favored around -220 and win in 6 or less. Remember the Heat have homecourt advantage and the format is 2-3-2.

if miami is favored bet heavy on Dallas here- they beat a talented OKC team

LOL....to compare Miami to OKC is laughable. I will say I don't watch NBA much during the regular season, but I have watched most of the playoff games. Miami is men among boys right now. Don't be suprised is the Mavs get swept. Watching the Mavs/OKC series, it looked very sloppy and was boring BBall. Put LeBron on Dirk, Wade on Terry, & Bosh on Chandler/Marion....who is left for the Mavs to score, Peja?

With the home court I'd guess Miami around -140/150. Personally agree Dallas is the better team and I'm confident they win the series. For an older team they have so many hungry players and really have been playing the best basketball in the playoffs. Dispatching Portland, LA and OKC in only 15 games is impressive.

And if Miami wins tonight, that will be the same winning percentage as Dallas. Going through Philly, Boston, & Chicago is a better feat...IMO. Only time will tell tho.

I agree with you. Although I live in DFW, I'm not a mav fan by any means. Mavs are on a mission, its prob the last shot at a title they will have with Nowitzki, and Miami is in their first ear together. Only way mavs don't win against Miami, is if Miami blows them out. Nobody is beating the mavs in close games. They are Damn near unstoppable in the last 2 min of first half, and more importantly the last 2 min of the game. Mavs have a better team basketball, Heat have 2 of the best players in the world. I'll take the better team

I'll be curious to see how the Mavs react in the finals if they get the refs who did the Chicago/Miami series. They're playing some physical ball there. Very different than the Western Conference finals, and both are good defensive teams. The foul calls will be HUGE in this series. And because Miami is so athletic and can wear on you, the Mavs will need a humongous effort out of their bench to pull this off.

I'll continue to push the team that has 3 superstars and not just one. Winning recipe everytime boys......take the team with the most superstars in their prime and you have your winner. Who cares who is older, wiser, team. Both are hungry for the ring. I will take the more athletic, younger, better team.

I am sure that this was similar conversation when Miami beat the Mavs 4-2 back in '06. In BBall, the more talented teams win probably like 95% of the time in a series.

Miami will be huge favorites, if and when they get passed Chicago. -220 is my guess, and the value bettors (the ones that make a long term profit) will all be on Dallas
