Not in my book ! When James is guarding Rose, you can see that there's no comparison. James is far better ! I don't want to hear the lame excuse that it's Rose against 5. I really don't like James and I hope that Dallas beats them but that doesn't change anything. Rose looked like a 3 rd. grader playing against James.

They are both great players, but IMHO Lebron is the better player at this point in time.

Kind of comparing apples and oranges IMHO. Rose is a 6'2" point guard and James is a 6'8" power forward. Both are great players.

Normally the MVP goes to the best player. Look it up. The list is dominated with names like Jordan, Magic, Bird, Jabbar, Malone, Chamberlain, Russell, Walton, Pettit. Rose is good but He's not in that class and I don't think He ever will be.

Agreed and he did not deserve the MVP in some of our opinions.

The truth came out in the Miami series...

I actually agree with this.

But let's keep in mind Lebron is playing well at the right time.

Without lebron, Miami is still a playoff team.

Without Rose, the Bulls do NOT make the playoffs, much less have the best record in the East.

MVP=most valuable player.

Rose winning the MVP is not a stretch at all.

If you watched James dominate Rose ...... It is a huge stretch ! Rose will not win another MVP ! Mark it down right now ! BTW Miami is not just a playoff team ! They are the big favorites to win the Championship ! Without James ... no chance and I'm not a James fan by any means. I hope He looks as bad as Rose did in the upcoming Title series.

Kindly disagree

Chicago would still easily be a playoff team without Rose...

So the same team sans Rose, let's say with CJ Watson at the point, makes the playoffs? How do they score? I know Thibs is a great coach and get the most, but you have to have enough to get your team up for the challenge. The defense would still be good I suppose, but it just wouldn't work. Watson, Bogans, Deng, Boozer and Noah. Not sure that's a playoff lineup. Maybe close. Indiana did make it with 38 wins so maybe they get to 38, but not much more. So Rose was good for an extra 20-24 wins.

Put the pipe down. I don't even have any other analysis than that.

Guessing it would be tough to win the requisite 40 games needed to go playoffs WITHOUT 1 GUY WHO CAN CREATE HIS OWN SHOT. lol

Can you arrange an alternate universe for us to bet on this?

Not sure what your arguements above are.....

Chicago averaged 99 points per game this year

99 minus the 25pts Rose averaged = 74pts

Hmmmmm wonder where those otehr 74 points came from.

And out of the top 20-30 scorers in the league, Derrick Rose ranked towards the bottom in Field Goal Percentage.

Let me explain what exactly that means.

It means he has to take a lot more shots to average the same 25pts other top scorers could do in taking fewer shots.

Let's break that down into a Home Run Derby....

Player A hits 10 home runs out of 30 pitches

Player B hits 10 home runs out of 20 pitches

Which performed better?

Same analogy as Derrick Rose who takes a lot more shots than other players to get his points....Period

There is no other way to put it..... The numbers don't lie.... And neither does Miami shutting his azz down

I feel like I'd have to start from the very beginning of explaining basketball to you to illustrate why the Bulls would struggle without him and that would just be a lot of work.

All I can really say is if they bring back the same team and he blows his knee out in preseason next year and there is a prop on a gambling website "Will Bulls make playoffs in 2011-2012, I will bet No.

You don't have to explain anything to me...... I've played the game all of my life, organized and street ball, and have followed the NBA since age 7. I'm not the guy in the office who doesn't even have a clue but stands at the water cooler trying to get into the conversation with other jo-blo's who want to discuss the big game on a Monday morning but don't even understand what's being said.

The guy is solid I never said he isn't, but he should not be spoken in the same breath as others...
