Driving from Las Vegas to Ottawa, Ontario.

Looks like I need to make a trip back to Ottawa for a while.

Anyone have route suggestions?

On the way down I drove down HIWAY 40 which was a great suggestion for SPEED...

I made it here in 3 days, and HIWAY 40 is incredibly fast because it is a one lane hiway with a high speed limit and easy to drive quickly.

What I cant remember is what was the best place to go north to head for Canada.

Id also like some suggestions on things to see along the way if I go a different route.

I am not so concerned with speed, but I may choose to go the quickest route not sure at this time.

I think ill be ok getting back into my own country, its coming into this country that can be trouble.

Well, two weeks ago I actually had a much tougher time getting passed US Customs & Border Protection to board my plane back to CR than I had entering the US from CR 3 days before.

how can that beif you do NOT go through Customers or Border Protection when you gom from the US to anywhere on the way out?

Unless of course you were in CAD in which case makes sense

SS, just use maps.yahoo.com/dd

Input airport codes LAS and YOW and you will be shown the fastest route, you can also drag the cursor if you want to make detours anywhere and it will recalculate your route

I flew from Tampa to Ft Lauderdale and from there took a flight to SJO. When trying to board the plane to SJO, I was called out by 2 CBP officials who questioned me for about 30min about all kinds of stuff from my occupation, why I haven't been in Germany for more than 3mth, what I'm doing in the US, how long I've been there, when I intend to come back to the States and go back to Germany etc pp...

it was actually almost 1 year ago today, about 9 months to be exact, unfortunately alot has happened in that 9 months, we had the BLACK FRIDAY April 15th with poker, as well as the recent sportsbook challenges.

Ontario has some of the worst highways in the western world. Im glad I got over my fear of flying , as I couldnt drive through that long province anymore

if you have alot of money and invest in Canada its possible.

its possible if you have a skill that falls under NAFTA to get a TN visa, like I did to work in USA.

its possible if you marry someone I guess.

but both countries make it real hard for each other country to do this, its special agreement between two countries that don't want each others citizens flowing across the border.
