It would be even more amazing if none of the people that live near him (if he has a family for example) can put up with that and not suffer either

Maybe he didn't inhale

at minimum he would still have a higher risk of oral cancer as a consequence.

I am sure many people go through life doing things that are obviously risky or downright lethal and life a long life ...heavy drinkers/smokers or people that constantly practice risky sports or stunts

However it cant be denied what smoking does to your health

doesn't surprise me, the war against smoking is a lot of bullshit.. If someone dies of lung cancer and was a smoker as well they automatically blame it on smoking.. people don't realize there are those who have lung cancer and didn't smoke..

Where is the war against alcohol? Alcohol is worst than coke and almost bad as heroin.

I really don't care if you want to smoke 20 packs/day..............as long as you do it far away from me and everyone else (I can drink 4 six packs..............other than you being a risk for me vomiting on you..........thats the worse care scenario you are looking at :)

Worst than coke and almost as bad as heroin LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am asuming you smoke....with that hyperbole I think you have proven the damage that smoking does to the brain

can't even spell assuming.. I am not a smoker, hate the smell of secondhand smoke.. I used to be a social smoker but not in the past 3 yrs..

Alcohol is worst than coke, for one alcohol is socially accepted. Alcohol effects every organ in your body, do you know of another drug that does that?
alcohol effects the liver, kidneys, blood, brain, heart, lungs, throat, PANCREAS etc. Alcohol causes drunk driving deaths and accidents. Alcohol causes accidental deaths and violence. It assists in suicides too, its a strong depressant.

You act like people drink alcohol and the worst thing that happens is vomiting.. lol

Have you heard of anyone smoking and crashing into a family of 4 because of it?

have you heard of anyone smoking and beating the shit out of their wives?

No you have not.

alcohol is a deadly drug, I included no hyperbole in any of my statements.. You are obviously tricked by the media and phony statistics and I won't hold that against you cause a lot of people are.. but alcohol might just be the worst drug of all when you look at the big picture..

I was reading a bio on Eric Clapton one time. This is someone who has been hooked on every hard drug imaginable, including heroin. And he said that alcohol was by far the nastiest drug he had ever been on because of it's ability to physically cripple him to the point he couldn't function. He never felt that way with any of the hard drugs he was on during his Cream, Derek & The Dominos days. And he said he was a person you didn't want to be around when he was drunk. This was a big reason why there was about a 3 year period in the early 70's where he basically did nothing in his music career. He just locked himself in his mansion and didn't come out. It took his friends to get him dry, or else would have died from alcholism. Which has been the death of many rock stars of the past.

Long term chronic tobacco use rots the body from the inside out so it's not that shocking that someone who has smoked 30 years might at least present an outward impression of "nothing wrong".

But even a rudimentary understanding of the effects of chronic tobacco use should let most of us know that such a reality ("nothing wrong") is absurd. The chronic use of either alcohol or tobacco has been conclusively demonstrated to be extremely debilitating to the human body when contrasted with that of someone who is either a moderate user (alcohol) or an abstainer (alcohol and/or tobacco).

In short, I'd hardly put a 30 year chronic tobacco user up as a role model for good health to someone of ANY age if they are seeking such examples.

I've been smoking for 50 years and never had a problem and have excellent chest x-rays. Now I only smoke at night when I'm drinking and gambling and leave the cigs at home during the day.

I'm 24 and been smoking consistently since I was 18. Smoke a pack when I'm drunk at a bar but otherwise, maybe 2-3 tops a day. But I have no doubt I'm worse for wear. I fully WILL and am dedicated to stopping cold turkey when I have a child in the future.

Moral of my story? Who the fuck knows. I'm wasted, LOL

I apologize, see...English is just my second language and I rarely bother to use a spell checker, will do it in the future since you are so worried about it.

Tobacco (and the gazillion related chemicals)...............enough?

Alcohol causes drunk driving deaths and accidents. Alcohol causes accidental deaths and violence. It assists in suicides too, its a strong depressant.
biggest load of BS, you are talking about the abuse of it..............having a few drinks normally does nothing of that, however tobacco does affect you regardless of the quantity as many of the chemicals you are subjected to are known carcinogens

have you heard of anyone smoking and beating the shit out of their wives?
I haven't no AND ANYONE WHO BEATS THEIR WIVES AND SAYS "THE ALCOHOL DID IT" IS THE WORST EXCUSE OF A HUMAN BEING

People who beat their wives/children etc do NOT get a free pass from me or a lame excuse such as "the alcohol did it" they do have problems with our without alcohol

Since we are playing the "read between the lines" game in here, it seems that there is something personal in this view you have, I also do not hold it against you but to claim that alcohol is worse than coke is just crazy, any possible effect you can blame on alcohol is certainly less than those of heroin or cocaine.

You can start now, you will live longer and enjoy a longer life with your child........save money on tobacco and save money on medical bills

and on the same note of "tobacco is deadly totally 100% and absolutely" , its also a death sentence for the motherboards of the computers, so your computer will thank you if you stop right now also

my DOG developed tumors in her lungs............terrible coughing all day long (reminded me of my granpa who had emphysema which was NOT due to smoking)

we ultimately had to put her dog, she always slept on my wife's side........which is of course where the ashtray sat.....all day long
