Its been about 6 months since my laptop shit out on me. I havent replaced it or really felt any desire to. My phone literally does everything I used to do on the computer. Sooo, should I get a cheap laptop or a tablet such as the Asus Transformer? ....but really my EVO is amazing, i dont know if its even worth getting a tablet or laptop since i just use it to surf the net, pay bills, and dload music...all of which i do with my phone.

Only you know the answer to this one - i mean, you know what your Evo does, and what a laptop can do. Screen size is the only advantage i can see with a laptop/tablet, and maybe the speed at which you can type... but even that may not be a factor.

I just got the transformer a few days ago from newegg and absolutely love it. Browsing the web is so much faster than my iPad. Plus it has full flash support. Not as many apps as Apple yet, but definitely has everything i need, and more apps are being added daily. i still contemplating buying the keyboard dock. No regrets here with the transformer, especially with the latest honeycomb 3.1 update.

Wouldn't it be much easier to have something a little bigger (laptop) at home rather than try to do everything online with the EVO?

Your the 1st person I have ever heard of that considers a smartphone a complete replacement for a laptop or a tablet.

I just got me a MACAIRBOOK a few months ago.

I love it. It is basically an IPAD with a keyboard.

It uses a flash drive which boots up your computer instantly.

You ought to look into it.
