What I mean is I heard before in NBA I think theres a number a team will never be favored by or you'll never see favored by by a certain #

well i dunno what the "rules" are for never to be favored by,... but i have never seen a team past 17.5pts in nba this year... with that being said i think it never would be a 20pt spread.. at least in the last 5 years i am speaking of.

There was a thread about this in the NBA forum a couple of months ago. Its like 8 or 9 because they stop fouling around then. Not exactly sure but Im sure if someone searches the right stuff they could find the thread

I believe Boston was favored over ATL by 18.5 in game 3 the year they won it all...and ATL won that game SU, I think they were +800 on the ML. Not bothering to check this so I may be wrong

^^ no chance they were only +800, if it was a 18 point line it would have been wayyyy higher.

i remember when the nets barely won any games they were almost a 20 point underdog in utah. it was like the perfect storm, nets were on a back to back (i think they just played in denver or phoenix), and the jazz lost their first game in a while to a not so great team. utha actually covered the spread
