I don't bet on hockey until the Stanley Cup Finals. However, I know and understand the game. Would appreciate some recommendations for Game 1. I was considering playing the Under 5.5 (-145). I'm not looking for a series play. What are you guys playing tonight?

Ted I actually like the over on this game. The odds are just to good to pass up! I think Vancouver really gets in Thomas's head in game 1. I was also thinking a 3-2 game pull the goalie then 4-2 over. Very interested to see everyone else's picks...... Come on kids give us your opionion!

tough line, really feel the line should be 5.5 flat just laying almost 1.5-1 would take me off the bet....bruins can put in it in the net they have scored 5+ in 4 games these playoffs....vanc wants to play uptempo style and can definitely put a 5 spot up on their own...yet both goalies are MORE than capable of pitching a shutout in net...that is what might make this series so great....i think at the end of the series similar to the bruins other 3 series, your gonna see it pretty much split down the middle in terms of O/U's....

BOL with your bet, im just a fan tonight!

Hmm! You guys are definitely making me rethink pulling the trigger on the Total. I hope to get a few more comments, then I'll let you know my decision. Where are all our hockey experts. With my decision, I am going to post a play in the Women's Semi-Finals of the French Open for tomorrow. It will be a nice priced dog!

I like first goal under 10mins

Bruins have givin up some early goals in the playoffs and Thomas has admitted it has taken some time to get comfortable in a couple games, the biggest game of his life should add to the tension.

Well, I've made my decision and it is directly based on the feedback in this thread. So I want to thank everyone who responded. I have decided to pass on the game. Whether the total or the prop wins or loses, I won't look back and question my decision. I'll watch tonight's game and see what happens.

Now, as promised, here is my play for the Women's Semi-Finals tomorrow at the French Open.

Na Li (+175) Over Maria Sharapova (8:05 a.m. EDT on ESPN2)

Good luck with your plays everyone!

Well guys after watching the game during the first period, I placed a NHL Live wager as shown below right after the Bruins killed the final penalty of the period with 3+ minutes left.

OMT, how do you feel about that tennis match going over the 21.5? I feel it has a very strong chance of coming in as both players are playing well and a chance to advance is a strong motivator. Thanks

I can see that as a good possibility. Even if it only goes two sets at 7-5, you're a winner and if it goes three, should be an easy winner. I like it. Think I might follow your lead and put money on total games as well. Best of luck tomorrow whatever you decide. :toast:

Thank you. That's what I was thinking, at least about this game, when I reviewed the playoff scores for both teams and the stats on the goalies. If they keep putting up 5.5, I may play the Under every game. These teams are tough as nails. I love defense in all sports. It is a major element to my handicapping. Hope in goes 7 games!

it could have easily been 3-3 though, its what makes playoff hockey so great....you just cant really handicap it like you can in football when you handicap a defense completely shutting down another teams offense or in baseball when you think a pitcher is gonna be lights out...thomas saved goal after goal! bruins had 5on3 couldnt score...had NUMEROUS chances in the 1st period and couldnt grab a lead....

if you watched this game and didnt walk away shaking your head at how great playoff hockey is, your BLIND!!

congrats on the win OMT, nice bet....your best bet might be watching the game early on and going with the the tempo/momentum, those are probably the best bets, b/c its pretty much been the tone of the entire bruins playoffs....
