I have the Reds circled for friday, and I'll tell you why...
Arroyo has been HORRENDOUS for the Reds recently.
He has given up 26 hits, 19 runs and 6 HRs in his last 3 starts lasting 12.2 innings.. COMBINED.
With that being said, he faced the Dodgers twice last yr, went 7 innings both times, one and home and one on the road and allowed 3 runs... COMBINED.
Honestly when I saw this line and the reds favored in the vicinity of -130 with this "shmuck" on the hill I started drooling.
People will be backing a Dodgers squad that has won 3 of its last 4 games and even though Kuroda's last 2 starts have not been nice at all by any standards, Arroyo has been down right awful.
I like the Reds in this spot after FINALLY being able to catch a days rest.
I like their pen over the Dodgers who in my opinion have one of the worst in the majors. Still no Kuo and Broxton, and let's face it, that IS the Dodgers pen.
If the reds can get Kuroda out during or by the end of the 6th then we should have no problem taking this one.
