The NY Mets and the Atlanta Braves square off tonight with the NY Mets coming off a big come from behind win yesterday. Will the Mets be able to carry this momentum over to tonights game or will the magic they homed in on yesterday disappear. The Braves as of today are 31-26 overall 3.5 games back in their division with a 14-13 Road Record. They are 6-4 Last 10. The Mets are 26-30 overall 8 games back in their division and have a 13-16 Home Record. They are 4-6 Last 10. The pitching matchups feature D. Lowe for Atlanta with a 3-4 record and a 4.03 ERA while NY's J. Niese ihas a 4-5 record with a 3.92 ERA. Do the Braves come to the Big Apple and get the first win of the series or do the Mets carry over the momentum from yesterday to get out of the gate for the weekend on a winning note?

no, did you see the game? mets singled 4 times in a row to beat the pirates bullpen, then a few wild pitches and errors got the mets a W ..
niese is good at home but i wouldnt put a penny on the mets beating the braves tonight, it could happen though

The announcer on Sportscenter said it was the 2nd greatest comeback in Mets history. Either the momentum of the win carries over to tonight or "The Big Letdown" once again rises to the top. You gotta believe the Mets will still be highly motivated to peg two back to back wins to carry them into the weekend.

Moe is a football term son. It doesn't relate to baseball.

Your from SC and think the Mets have momentum. I thought Braves fans represented that state. O well. I quite a few people posting the over...with Lowe pitching the games normally go over.

Historically there has never been any love loss between the two clubs. The Braves just happen to be next on the schedule after the big comeback just days after the Mets manager had the Press Conference to vent his extreme displeasue in his teams performance. The Mets could be playing anybody in the National League tonight and the motivation would be the same regardless. I do indeed hope the Braves play well and win but the Mets have to know and believe this could be the start of salvaging their season and that could make them tricky to contend with.
