Good Day OMT. I caught a portion of "Great Moments In Baseball" yesterday on DTV and San Fransico Giants pitcher Carl Hubble was one of the featured segments. The segment indicated Hubble was National League MVP in 1933 and 1936 and pitched in 3 World Series Games. His version of the Screwball was one of if not the first ever developed and it helped him post an impressive 5 straight 20 game win seasons. I love to see the old black and white video footage that was available in those years. But moving from the past into the present, BOL with the Giants today and hopefully they can get more men across the plate today to close out the weekend.

Good day Mr. Boland. Yes, Carl Hubbel was just one of many great, great Hall of Famers that have worn a Giants uniform. Of course, I'm not so old that I was around when he was pitching but I was able to see players like Willy Mays, Willy McCovey, Orlando Cepeda, Juan Marichal and many others. Thank you for the well wishes today and best of luck to you as well my friend. :toast:

I caught the tail end of your Giants game on MLB Network late this afternoon OMT. Brian Wilson's "Fear the Beard" banners crack me up evertime the bring him in. Several players have been ejected in the Washington Arizona game. It has a Bean Ball fest in that one. Also caught Puhols with the game winning HR to beat the Cubs. The Cub's 2nd baseman Barney had several great defensive plays and looks to be a really good ball player. Fun day of baseball with the Braves and the Mets playing tonight to parallel the NBA Finals Game. It is still 95 degrees here at 6:00 PM. Glad I have excellent water discipline. Gotta pump those fluids.

Giants won on clutch hitting in the late innings. I am currently watching the Washington/Arizona game and it really heated up and now the Diamondbacks have the bases loaded with no outs and just got a run via a walk. Currently 4-2. :ohno:
