Salt Sequel Moving Forward
Source: Deadline June 6, 2011

Development has begun on a sequel to last year's Salt, Deadline reports.

The original film starred Angelina Jolie as CIA officer Evelyn Salt who, after being accused of being a Russian spy, goes on the run in an attempt to prove her innocence.

Jolie is expected to reprise her role for the sequel, now entering the writing stage with Kurt Wimmer (who wrote the original) drafting.

Most recently, Jolie provided a voice in Kung Fu Panda 2. She is next expected to make her directorial debut with In the Land of Blood and Honey, a romance set against the Bosnian war, which she also wrote.

Nice! I just saw Salt for the first time the other night on tv. Loved how Salt, while handcuffed, strangled the guy with the quick leap over the stairwell railing. Yikes that girl is lightning quick.

I was tempted to get the first one on Netflix, what do you guys rate it on a 1-10 scale?

If you believe a movie where the beautiful 110 pound girl gets hit in the face by a 200 pound man and then can get right up, knock yourself out.

It's about a 5...maybe 6

Pure comic book/graphic novel adaptation....all the action shots are of course computer generated, but all in all....just that - a decent comic book 90 minutes

I had no hopes for the 1st one but it was a nice surprise. Maybe one of her best movies imo. The sequel should be good

It's okay, probably not in the same level of Bourne Identity.

Almost the same type of movie, that why on Action alone I give it a 7. 7.5
I like it, and like someone else said. You Just Knew that the Sequel was coming.
