Cowboys & Aliens. No doubt about it. Will C&A be the highest grossing film of the year?! No doubt about it.

as gross as it is (i have never seen any of them).. no way in hell any movie beats Harry P.otter finale this summer..Hands down this will beat every other movie out by a landslide... it might be the highest grossing movie of all time.

just saying.. put ur money on that being the movie of the year for all the teenie boppers and housewives to go see.

Not saying Super 8 will be the biggest @ the box office, but I personally believe it will the best movie that I will want to see more than once.

Transformers will probably have the most action....****** will take the box office.

Them be some lame as housewives then cause I don't know 1 chick who would go see that movie, let alone seen any of them (intentionally).

But I do agree, this movie should win this thread title. Kids and teenagers run the theatres.

You know how many 12 yrd olds I saw at the Hangover 2?? :ohno:

NO way C&A comes close to box office summer king. I doubt Transformers will either with the awful movie that was Transformers 2. Gotta go with P.0tter. You may not know anyone that would go see HP, but each of the movies makes truck loads of dough and it's one of the biggest series in the history of the world. And now it's ending so yes, it's going to be huge.

Judging by the previews only, Transformers 3 looks like it could be better than the first two, and could be the biggest hit this summer...

Super 8 looked very exciting in the beginning, but I'm disappointed with what it looks like since they released the full trailer....

I'd be willing to put money on P.Otter. It's just too strong in the foreign market to be beat. Each of the last 5 P.0tter films have grossed 600 million on foreign waters and anywhere from 250-350 million in the States.

Transformers could edge it domestically, but it WILL NOT take the overall box office.

I am looking forward to Super 8...the Rotten Tomatoes feedback remains strong and I always enjoy Spielberg & Abrams.

Super 8 is probably a decent enough movie, but the PG-13 rating will have adults thinking it will be lame, while the younger generation won't be allowed to go because of how scary the trailer looks. Just my opinion...

It'll definitely top 100 mil domestically. Should be OK overseas with the Spielberg tag.

Not even close. Avatar made 2.7 BILLION worldwide, no HP has topped 1 billion yet.

To be fair when I said this I was thinking an opening weekend. But I can agree longterm avatar may be untouchable. :toast:
