300 risk is onyl going to get ur 100 back if miami wins and if dallas wins, u will win 300.. so u could go that way if u like dallas, but in reality the dallas ml for this game is +240 so if ur getting not very much more than those odds for this game then i dont see a point in hedging..
imo if 100$ is a lot to u, then hedge.. if its not, and dallas is ur team and u want them to win, just ride it out.

well, i agree with the sentiment that if 100 isn't a lot of money to you, just let it ride out. you got the only scenario where you could cash your bet (dallas up 3-2), so why buy out of it.
i'd be more inclined to hedge if you could middle and hit both.
i say let it ride. again, why make a bet that only has one scenario to cash going into it, and then you get the scenario, only to want to do something else with it.

Lock in a nice profit by betting Miami. I learned my lesson the hard way many years ago when I had the Rangers 30/1 to win the Stanley Cup. i had $ 600 for a $ 18,000 killing. That's not hedging, that's gambling. You thought Dallas +250 was a good series price, now you think Miami -105 or whatever is a good series price
By definition any hedge means you are giving up your advantage. For life changing amounts, that makes sense. For $600 I would see if the other side is a good bet, but would never consider a hedge

Did you read my post ? I had a $ 18,000 profit locked in if the Rangers should win but came away with zilch ? That's stupidity. I could have hedged and guaranteed a $ 10,000 profit no matter who won. I learned the hard way. You will learn over time also !
