I am still grinding through some numbers and trying to find more information on tonight's Game 4 of the Atlanta Houston series looking for an edge which features a slightly more competitive pitching mathcup. Will have more hopefully by 3:00PM.

yanks never seen carassco, could be a long night for the yanks

AND HE HASN'T SEEN THEM..SOMETIMES A FIRST START ATT HE STADIUM CAN BE IMNTIMIDATING

YANKS/CLEVE..Playing the same plays that lined my pocket this weekend..even if Burnett is slumping.Carascco gives up "at least 3" which means the Tribe will need to score three to cover the 5 inning rl play and their pen has to be pretty shell shocked right now..AND their offense has not been clutch this past week..batting with RISP has been horrid

THE PLAYS:
YANKS -.5 -130 FIRST 5
YANKS/TRIBE O 5 -125
YANKS RL +110

METS/BUCS..This line might be a trap. Right now i would prefer Pelfrey to Malholm

and strangely enough the Mets "PUNCH AND JUDY" lineup has been one of the more effective ib baseball recently..The Mets have been on a 7 out of 10 roll. Reyes has been locked in and now is at -150 over tabata.

THE PLAYS:
$100:
METS -107
$50:
REYES OVER TABATA -150 :toast:

getaway day of a series that they already wrapped up. I'll take Yanks TT under 5 -105 please. Game likely to be 8.5 innings and Carrasco is the one pitcher on the Indians I think is actually underrated.

buddy from another forum.

ARI-FLA
-Zach Duke is off a great start against his former team in Pittsburgh, and he's a lefty who relies on being crafty which is exactly what the Fish have struggled against for years. He's been hit hard by Bonifacio and Morrison, but in a small sample size, while Helms and Infante are the only two to see him a lot and he's handled them well. Ricky Nolasco off a great start too, and he's had much better success vs. Arizona. Stephen Drew has smacked him around in his career (.556) with 3 HR, while Chris Young sits at the other end of the spectrum with his hitless 0/13. Nolasco has been easier for lefties to hit, so that sets up for a nice day for Drew/Johnson/Miranda/Montero/Parra and I think that's their best lineup, and he's been better on the road in terms of win%, ERA and WHIP (first guy I've seen that with). June has been his best month for ERA over his career, although he likes the 2nd half of the year better. He wins when he gets any type of support (3+ runs) and his ERA is best when he gets 3-5 runs. His best ERA and WHIP is on 5 days rest, while his win% is better on 4 and 6+ days. He has a 5-1 record vs. ARI, including a WHIP under one. His splits are very similar between day and night, he's liked Buck catching him a ton more than Hayes so we should see the vet. Somehow he's never pitched to Tom Hallion, but he's a guy that loves to ring people up (7.8 k/9). Meanwhile, Duke has been tougher on lefties but his numbers aren't what you want from a successful pitcher to be completely honest. Both BA's and OBPs are too high, but maybe he's come back a better pitcher. He's struggled on the road over his career with a 1.52 WHIP, June has been his worst month historically and he doesn't win without a ton of support. That would help the home/under correlation, especially when you see his best ERA and WHIP coming when he doesn't get more than 2 runs. He's been better when he gets more rest, he's also 0-5 career vs. FLA with a 6.49 ERA and a 1.96 WHIP. He's 0-3 with a 7.88 ERA in Miami with a 2.38 WHIP. Duke's had 3 starts with Hallion in his career where he went 1-1 with a 3.78 ERA and a scary 1.74 WHIP. Sounds like he was fairly lucky. No thanks on that under...

NYM-PIT
-Maholm got a huge lead from his offense in a start just last week against the Mets and gave it away. He also got his win blown by the Bucs pen in his last start against Arizona so he's looking like the tough luck guy of 2011 considering a 2-7 record with 3.39 ERA. The Mets have hit him pretty hard over 82 ABs, mainly Beltran (.471 2 HR 6 RBI) who smacked him the other day as well as Reyes and Pagan. Since late April, he's had a shutout, 6 total QS in 9 starts and he's only really had one bad outing @NYM. Righties have hit him much better over his career and that's what the Mets have. He's been much better at home, 1.32 runs better to be exact, but he's on his worst rest. A normal four days rest being your worst is hard to hear, especially when he's more than a run worse. He's 3-3 with a 5.15 ERA vs. NYM and he prefers the night. Paul's only start with Hallion saw a win, 7ip 1er and a 1.14 WHIP. Pelfrey is impossible to predict, so no thanks on that over as I'm sure both are traveling after the game.

Atlanta Houston Game 4:Atlanta now has a 38-28 record winning 6 in arow and 8-2 Last 10. Houston with the worst record in the Majors has only added to their misery now on a 4 game losing streak and 2-8 Last 10. Lowe and the Braves will get a chance to sweep the Astros in 19 years tonight in Minute Maid Park. Lowe is 3-4 3.73 ERA, but more research will reveal that his road average comes down to 2.78 ERA while opponents are only batting .225 against him. In addition, Lowe retired 16 straight batters in his last outing at one point showing how efficent he really can be. Rodriquez is 3-3 3.41 ERA but tonight will be his first start in three weeks as he is only one day activated off the DL. One of Rodriquez's bright spots is he has held Atlanta's Alex Gonzalez to a .087 average in past mathcups but opponents overall are hitting .306 against him. Pence should be back in the line up tonight to try and continue his hitting streak to 23 games. Carlos Lee with a .390 average along with Pence and the speedy Bourn will be Lowe's priority outs. Atlanta's excellent defensive play should be able to contain the remainder of the Houston lineup. Atlanta has outscored Houston 21-6 in three games. The Atlanta bats we somewhat cooler yesterday, however Atlanta's past success at getting baserunners aboard in this series should pay dividends as Rodriquez has to work through the Atlanta order. Atlanta is 5-0 SU Last 5 5-0 SU Last 5 Road 5-0 SU Last 5 Playing Houston and 5-0 SU Last 5 Playing Houston in Houston. We will stab at the RL Atlanta -1 +100 in the last game of this series looking to Lowe for his efficeny and Braves offense providing enough run production against Rodriquez whose timing and mechanics may be off just enough to cause him problems . We will also look to an Atlanta Houston Score First Inning Yes +115 as Rodriquez will have to face a now consistent Atlanta top of the order in Shaffer and Uggla. The Braves pitching staff has not given up "The Big Inning" against Houston in this series. Lowe is more than capable with efficency and control of continuing this trend but he cannot neglect the priority outs. Houston's flelding errors and sparse run production have been their biggest enemies and we will look for those problems to hamper and burden them again tonight. BOL everybody. Enjoy the MLB action.Source: ESPN MLB Preview

Going to stab at the Atlanta Over 4 Total Team runs +100 also. Chipper Jones has a .395 average at Minute Maid Park while Uggla and McCann have found their home run stride. Gonzalez quite possibly might break out of his slump against Rodriquez tonight by delivering some key hits with Rodriquez coming off a three week absence. The left field line at Minute Maid Park is 315 feet from the camera angle yesterday. Atlanta has scored 20+ runs in three games. If that momentum carries over to tonight, they should put at least 4+ runs across the plate in a possible 5-1 6-2 type game.

I'm on Astros cause Wandy is great @ home 2.25 ERA, Braves have wrapped this series up and its the last of a road trip back home tomorrow.
Braves have had very little success against Wandy.. Wandy is a leftie as well and the Braves are lefty ridden..

Taking a stab with FF and a smaller stab with game.. 6/5

Damn Badco's information blew my Gonzalez theory out of the water. I will have to wait an extra hour before action starts to see how it all pans out as the game starts 8:05 EST my time. Oh well, that is only about an hour and a half from now. Might take a brisk walk around the neighborhood for a little exercise.

Gonna be on the Mets over.

Pelfrey is on a weird trend of allowing a bunch of runs every other start and Maholm's numbers are terrible at Citi. (ERA over 9)

Dodgers is a pass. Their offense blew up vs Rockies but that tends to happen in that ballpark. Still waiting for some consistencies.

Braves waste a lead of double along with base loaded 1st inning. Might not see that kind of opportunity again. Oh well I tried to peg the First Inning Score Yes. Dem Da Breaks and Da Game Goes On.
