Would you watch Charlie Sheen in a new sitcom? Because he's reportedly talking about starring in one. Maybe.

According to TMZ, the go-to outlet for people on Team Sheen to leak news, the fired "Two and a Half Men" star is considering a "big offer" for a broadcast network comedy that will be written for him, will go straight to series and could be on the air by midseason.

Which network? Doesn't say. Who's writing and producing it? Doesn't say. So aside from those two small details, you know, done deal!

Back in February, just after Warner Bros. and CBS fired Sheen, he claimed he was developing a show for HBO and would be paid $5 million an episode for it. That didn't happen. His live tour did come together, playing to mixed results. Sheen himself isn't saying anything about the reported deal; he's been silent on Twitter for the past six days.

The deal will allegedly be officially announced by the end of the week. We're going to go out on a limb and say that the new show, if it indeed exists, won't air on CBS.

I might watch him if he plays a drunk womanizing asshole. A real stretch for him.

HAHA! the show might as well be considered a reality series. At least his part
I think a reality series would be perfect for him. They should let HBO or Showtime do it so nothing would be censored.

He burned so many bridges at CBS it's mind boggling that any production company would take a chance on that doper.

FOX makes sense.
They built their 'empire' catering to the lowest common denominator with Beans Baxter, Married With Children, and The Simpson's in the late 80's.

FOX is to network TV what Howard Stern is to radio, cater to the lowest common denominator to build ratings.

The Simpsons? You gotta be kidding.

Do you know anything about radio or television?
The Simpsons was FOX's signature TV show in 1987.
That show put FOX on the map. It was the first successful prime time animated prime time TV show.
Now The Simpsons doesn't draw the ratings it used to, but in the late 80's and 90's it was consistently in the Nielsen top 20 ratings.
Simpsons generated the money for FOX in the early 90's to help make that network what it is now.

p.s. Simpson's won 27 PRIME TIME EMMY's to date, the show also launched South Park, Family Guy and others, without the Simpson's success in animation, the new age animated shows never would have been attempted.

I'm not referring to that. You said that Fox was built on catering to the lowest common denominator and then you go on to list The Simpsons as an example of that.

Not sure if I would put Fox at the bottom of the Barrel, if that's what you're saying.
24, House and American Idol, were/are High Rated shows.

WOR, and what they call The CW would be the Bottom feeders.

But if you are saying that Fox is Not a premier Channel like ABC, NBC, and CBS
I could understand.

I remember when they use to put up Ratings, you never saw Fox or the others on the list. Now they do......

No, I'm saying FOX made their mark in the business with Married With Children, which, even though was a sit-com about a dysfunctional family, that concept was never done before, up until then, all family sit-coms were goody good Cosby or Ozzie + Harriet Nelson.
But, like the Simpson's,which was a then, cutting edge animated show, it was geared towards the lowest common denominator.
Now, I'm not saying I'm above that, I'm not, I tuned into Married every Sunday, I still watch Simpsons, but let's face it, the early FOX shows, owned by Murdoch, who made his money with those trashy London tabloids and such, knew what sells, face it, those two shows, and the other early FOX shows were not geared to the Mensa crowd.
That's FOX's reputation, so it makes sense a show like 2 1/2 Men, if it went anywhere, goes to FOX.

CBS doesn't need Sheen's dysfunctional crap, last time I looked at the Nielsen website, CBS had 13 of the top 20 shows, with CSI, NCIS, How I Met, etc. etc.

hasnt nbc been the lowest rated network for years ? they might try him

you've got to figure that charlie wants to play a trashy guy living a bachelor's life, just raunchier than what cbs has to offer. NBC somewhat cares about class, they won't have that type of humor on thursday nights. UPN and CW or whatever they are called won't be approved by charlie since ratings are crap on there and they probably can't afford him. ABC Disney won't even dare to try. That leaves only Fox in my eyes and they love throwing up new shows in mid-january.

The only other alternative is that he is sick of the abcs and cbs's of this world and decides to go on tbs or hbo. It's not out of the question if he wants to curse left and right on his show.

I guess all of those movie deals dried up for Sheen. What studio in their right mind would insure this druggie for a few months to work in a top notch box office movie? I would say nobody. Time to go back to the small tube...Duh, winning!

So what do you guys think of Anger Management ?
It's as good as 2 and half men. I never saw what everyone else saw in 2 and half men, always thought it was highly overrated and not that good.
