At the time of this writing, the following Match Odds/Moneyline were available: Texas Rangers (2.18, +118) and New York Yankees (1.81, -123)

Yankees are 7-1 record in their last eight games versus a left-handed starter
Rangers are 1-4 in their last five road games

Texas dropped its third consecutive contest last night with a 12-4 loss in a series opener against New York at Yankee Stadium. The Rangers have not lost four straight games this season and veteran Michael Young expects the team to bounce back in a big way tonight. "We just got outplayed," Young commented. "We'll come out tomorrow and play hard, make some adjustments and play our style of baseball." The club has struggled thus far in the 2011 campaign against the Yankees, dropping five of seven contests, including three of four here. Texas is 20-15 against teams with a winning record this season.

Rangers starter Derek Holland is 5-1 with a 4.41 ERA in 13 starts this season and will be pitching on five days' rest after taking a no decision in the club's 5-4 walk-off defeat on Thursday in Minnesota. The left-hander is 3-1 with a 3.02 ERA in seven road starts this season, but has allowed seven home runs in 50 2/3 innings. Holland has tallied an 0-3 record and 8.31 ERA in five games (four starts) against the Yankees.
