I know these guys better than anyone, and they are completely overachieving it is not even funny. Starting this afternoon we fade them every game for the rest of the season, and watch them come back down to reality. They will probably win today since I decided to start this thread, but oh well the fade starts today. When betting the favorite you take them to WIN $100, when taking a dog you bet a $100 to the price.

Pick #1-- Houston -115....$115/$100

i agree that they're pitching WAY above their heads but their also hitting below their potential. Other than Morton I don't believe they have one really good starter and with Maholm likely summer trade bait they'll be relying on McDonald, Karstens, Correia, and likely Ohlendorf or another guy if Russ isn't coming back from injury. Not exactly murderer's row

crazy stat about the Bucs staff is that no starter has skipped a start due to injury. can't last forever and neither can this insane groove they're in. A few weeks ago they posted something like 14 straight starts of going 5+ innings allowing 2 or less runs which was the first time since 1968.

So I think you're right in that a bunch of average arms can't pitch like this forever but not sure I'd start up against the worst team in the league either. They are well known for interleague futility which is only a day away...

also dealing with a lot of injuries right now so starting a chase today or tomorrow might be very profitable!

Today is not a great day to start your fade the buccos. Houston is worse than terrible and the Injuns are a joke right now. Maybe wait til Monday then you should be pretty good.

If you been fading pirates you are down money for sure.

chances they been dogs all them games thus you taking the favorite and they been winning with the majors best starting era. Good luck with this but ull pay alot of juice each game usually.

I have close ties to the Pirate Family and fading them would be a bad idea! At best you will spin your wheels and it wouldn't be worth it to win or lose pennies. This team has chemistry and will win this year. I am not crowning them nor am I saying they are a playoff team, but don't be surprised to see 84 to 86 wins from them this year.

It's a new direction the ship is sailing and it's a good one! Lots of talent on this team and lots of confidence right now. Fading is a bad idea. Pick on another team this year like the Yankees.

Since 5teamparlay will bump this thread in the future lets all make predictions of how we think the Pirates will fare this season...

I have them at 78-84.. A respectable record for this franchise, no doubt.. I think they will 77-80 games this season..

pirates will come down from this cloud...

Question is when...

they have 3 tough AL opponents coming up...

starting tomorrow in Cleveland...

i am holding CLEVELAND -1.5+150 right now...

wait until next weekend though,...

If you want to increase units fading...

Boston should have some decent RLINE value pricing at Pittsburgh...Play all the overnights in that series & you should be in a real good position at post

IF Pittsburgh team ERA remains in the top 10 of MLB, they should be able to bust 81 wins

I figured i would lose the first day I posted this thread. I know it was a bad day to start fading them with terrible Houston & an awful pitcher on the mound as well. Oh well I am not going to make excuses. Tomorrow we will be riding with Cleveland. I will post the final line I get sometime before the game tomorrow.

Fade Record: (0-1, -$115)

pirates have won 79 games,....Just once over the last 18 years....

If they can avoid their 19th straight losing season.......

they may throw a parade in Pittsburgh
