The city of Boston is already celebrating, and the Red Sox haven’t even won the World Series yet. That is because another team has brought a championship banner to the city, and while the New England Patriots’ modern day dynasty days are now behind us, the Bruins have delivered the city its first Stanley Cup to now ride alongside the Boston Celtics and company in a home to many great sports champions. That celebration may continue at the end of this baseball season with another title banner to potentially be raised at the Fenway Park, as the Red Sox should be able to deliver as long as they remain focused and play with a sense of urgency.

The Red Sox underperformed at the beginning of the year, but that might have been a blessing in disguise. With all of the additions that they made in free agency it seemed as though everyone in the locker room was waiting for somebody else to step up and get the job done, but once they realized that they would be in trouble everybody made their move to get the sports betting services job done. Boston started getting the consistent production out of its offense that it needed so badly to compliment the pitching staff.

That has began and ended with Adrian Gonzalez, the Boston first baseman that is now leading the way for AL MVP voting with his incredible play over the past month. Gonzalez leads the team in average and has delivered on the huge deal that he signed this past offseason, and he isn’t the only one stepping up. David Ortiz has enjoyed a resurgence and is now looking like a player that has the sports wagering services potential to be an All Star, while Jacoby Ellsbury is right there producing a ton of hits and getting on base to help create. The Red Sox could still use more at the plate out of former MVP Dustin Pedroia and another free agent acquisition in Carl Crawford, but as long as those that are producing continue to do so the rest should eventually come around.

The pitching staff has been a force all season, and Boston has to love its chances in the postseason now that Josh Beckett has had another solid season. Beckett really struggled last year, but with the MLB news that he has been one of the team’s top arms and most consistent, means that he should get a shot behind John Lester in their top-three for a postseason series. The Red Sox are at the top of the AL East and should be able to continue to lead the way, but it now comes down to the focus and urgency that they can play with the rest of the season. Boston is getting very comfortable with the championship teams that it has had in recent years, and the Red Sox should be next in line to bring home a title.
