Should MLB change or make some rules for catchers protecting them from home plate collisions.

Several weeks after the Posey collision that knocked him out for the season, this remains a hot topic.

Few questions, if the collision involved Eli Whiteside instead of the 'face' of the franchise Buster Posey, would it be that hot of an issue?

Do catchers need protection rules like QB's in the NFL or flagrant fouls in basketball?

I say no, there should not be rule changes, as long as the hit is clean, not intentional.

No change whatsoever, the runner runs just as much risk. One rule I do wanna see changed is that all players should have to wear ceramic spikes instead of the metal weapons they play with now.
