Being Stalked by Rogue Scholar

Many of you at therx don't know me.

I know many of you though, and maybe many of you know the poster roguescholar

I spent alot of time at SBR as chi_archie and at gamelive as archie.

I have a cautionary tale to tell about a twisted and deranged poster.

never had any communcation or anything outside the forums with this guy.... but he got pissed at me for some reason (maybe I said somthing hurtful???) and stalked me and found a way he THOUGHT would bury me in real life.

I often talked on the forums of the volunteer work I do with an inner city church and how I mentor many of the fatherless boys.

Rogue, someone dug up info that lead him to believe that, this was my job.

he found the name of the pastor of the church and emailed him this.

keep in mind Rogue and I never gambled, or had any sort of business dealings

Brian,
this is the email sent to me:

Dr. W******,

I’m sorry to interrupt your day, but I’ve had the misfortune of getting mixed up with a man claiming to be Brian Slusser on the internet. We met through an offshore sports gambling website where he’s been quite prolific for the last few years. It’s now coming to the point where he’s asking for special considerations in that community (we’re gamblers, I’m sure I don’t need to elaborate further) and claiming to own the building in which your church meets. Quite frankly, his story seems full of holes and I was hoping you could just tell me if he’s being truthful in this matter and I can make my determinations from there. I normally don’t like to contact third-parties, but he’s the one who provided your church as his place of employ and the ownership of the building as evidence of his financial solvency. It seemed contacting you at this point was the next logical step.

Sincerely,
P**** M*****

I guess the moral is, be careful what you tell people. I have nothing to hide. but I know many people feel very vulnerable about personal info being put out there. I now understand why.

the good news is, that Pastor he sent the email to, joked about it with me and knew right off the bat the email was pure BS.... no one calls him a DR. or Reverend. hell 99% of people he knows don't know HE IS a Dr.

he forwarded me the email.

i'm passing the cautionary tale onto you

I don't think he posts here Archie. If he does it's rare.

This is why I never give out any kind of personal info on the net. I am paranoid about some sick freak getting my info.

My initial reaction was the same shdow but why in the world would he be posting this stuff if he really did screw over rogue scholar? Oh well we"ll probably never find out what really happened.

not sure we'll hear his side of it. Not much defending it. He can lie, I guess.

but i'm not sure he wants to invite more bad karma on himself like that.

either way, doesn't matter to me.
