Paying bills and banking online is really convenient and yet I know of so many people that still do it the old fashion way. Paying bills online is fast and easy but many including my GF continue to write checks out put a stamp on and drop them in the mail. She won't have any part of it. I even told her I would set all her payees up and even walk her through the process. Some people don't like change.

im set up all the way. Quickbooks imports straight from my bank. i email invoices that my customers can click on the invoice and pay online thru quickbooks, next day QB puts it in my bank. Im trying to get everyone on it. I read about a hack in the morning i have all new acct numbers by noon. that part is a bitch but not dealing with paper work and having bills paid on time is well worth it to me...

Tell your gf it is easier to steal information via mail.

I have been doing online banking since 2000. No other choice imo. Frankly, I wish they would outlaw check writing at places like grocery stores, etc.

Also, banks spend money security more than anything else.

Also, where do you think you money is kept, it is on a computer. Do you think there is a guy in the back, putting it in Bob's shoe box account?

I bought a box of checks about two years ago and still have almost all of them left. Online banking and using a debit card is the only was to go.

I haven't written one check in the last 3 yrs.

No late payment.

No late fee.

Piece of mind guarantee.

All you have to do is to make sure you enough fund in your checking to cover your bills.

I have all my bills set up on online banking and everything set to auto pay on everything, I just log in once a week and make sure everything is like it is suppose to be. Paying bills has never been this easy.

Well, we keep some checks around because there are instances when we need them. We have kids in school and when you buy the pictures and put money into their lunch accounts we use checks.

There is one check printing shop next to building where I work.

They used to have 25 employees 10 yrs ago.

It's getting smaller and smaller and now they're down to only 3 people.

Too many hackers for me...(although I might break down and start)

A few clicks of the mouse and the hacker cleans out your bank accounts. It's not so
easy to walk into the bank and do that.

Bills can be paid without checks at ATMs, via CC, etc. There's no need to have
online banking to do this in many cases.

I still use old fashioned paper money for most purchases.

Paying bills is even easier using a CC or check and automatic WDs. No need for online banking for that.
Neither, BTW, may require recieving paper bills in the mail.

I'd think that it's much easier for a hacker to get into my PC than the banks. If a thief did hack
my account via the bank's systems, i could justly claim that it was the bank's fault because i was
never set up for online or phone banking. The bank would have no signed statements that i
made the withdrawals associated with the theft. I would have recent paper receipts showing
my account balances & such. I could not be blamed for revealing to others, purposely or by
mistake, my password and account info re online banking.

Still very difficult for a hacker to access your account and initiate transactions, when he not only needs your account number/user name and password, but also access to your security token and iTAN list...while the latter might be solvable if he was able to redirect you through a phishing website, he still won't have your one time pincode generated by your personal security token....and that one he only can get if he has physical access to the token or if the token wasn't secure due to a hack into the IT system of the company, which issued the token.

Still get a float off a check.. Local grocery store takes 3-4 days. Gas station on corner takes about 3 days. The float can be nice supporting a wife and 2 kids and money is better kept at a brokerage than my local bank...Even Wal Mart is a day, so buy all ya want honey the day before payday...
