Church festivals....really?

Poker rake is a little steep, but you have the wannabe poker pros, that think they know every odd, out, draw, etc.....it was comical.

I'm not a religious guy, and the catholic churches are the worse, but what a gold mine.....lol, no shit@)

I'm by no means even a average poker player, but this is sick

I have been doing this the past couple summers, here are the problems.

A. Short term results, because most are staying with anything if you get unlucky a few times its easy to leave down.

B. The rules, most the time they are awful and more than half the dealers have no idea how to enforce them.

C. As you mentioned the rake, which again is always different. I have played at places that play no blinds and you have to ante to the house and pot every hand, I have played in places that take all the blinds no matter what the outcome is, ect ect

That all being said, its generally awful play and if you just play abc poker then the odds are in your favor of cashing.

BTW: Where did you play at this weekend and rules?
