The last few months I have been experiencing very weird feelings at night, feelings so weird that its hard to even explain, kind of a feeling that your dying. Well last night was horrible for about 30 min, before the attack I had some sharp pains in my left arm so anxiety kicked in strong to the point that I was pale and about to go to hospital. Finally I fell asleep and woke up this morning feeling just fine, anyone here experience anxiety or panic attacks?

I'm 28, I have always had good health. My blood pressure is a little high and I am a smoker. I have been experiencing an off balance feeling as well.

1) See your family doctor ASAP

2) Don't look at the Poly Forum for a few days.

one of my best friends had this in his early 30's. went to the doctor - had to lower his salt intake, eat better, sleep a little more - basically slow things down. stress is normal, but sometimes your body overcompensates. hopefully it's nothing major.

I've had anxiety attacks before. I'm always stressed out though, it'll probably kill me.

+1

men don't be fools, go every year for a COMPLETE physcial and blood work to see your numbers like cholesterol and BP.... I go every June and always get a full blood workup, just got it done and its a very nice feeling to know all is well after the DR visit... So far never have I seen an abnormal number... I had slightly high BP also years ago it got caught early and its fixed now

DO NOT wait until its to late... be MEN go see the DR.... the earlier you catch stuff the easier it is to fix.

Panic Attacks

I had them many years ago.

Came one night out of the blue when I layed down for bed.

Felt like I couldn't breatht, panicked, cold sweat, trembling, lightheaded.....Everything at once you can think of, and exactly as you explained, like you're dying.

Kept happening, kept going to hospital and doctors, they all tell you the same thing, you don't believe it and are convinced something is wrong with you.

Finally saw someone about it.

She introduced me to panick attacks and explained exactly what I was experiencing every time.

But something she said helped.......

She said... "Ok, you know what happens every time now right? You know they aren't going to hurt you now. So from now on instead of fighting it, just think to yourself "Let's get this over with"....."
It made perfect sense.

It helped as they gradually went away.

I can tell you that they become mostly psychological because of some other events I experienced that triggered them....

I/m dealing with them right now. My Dr started me on some meds and said that i'm going through a lot of stress right now and that is what brought it on. Never had a problem in my life.I can't hardly leave my house right now but it is getting a lot better for sure.

When you have them you make yourself feel worse because of the thoughts you have, i have many times been my own worst enemy, what hache says is 100% right but at that moment is so hard to do that is wjy you made need some therapy or medication to help you get over the hurdle
