Please plan on The Rx Posting forum to be off-line tonight beginning at 10:30PM EDT until 3AM EDT Thursday Morning...

The reason is Rx Tech Support wants to make sure there is not another occurrence of what happened today that caused a prolonged Virus Alert..

Please accept my apologies for any inconvenience this important maintenance may cause you. In the long run the overall performance of the site will be improved once the job is completed..

Thank you, wilheim

Long night for The Tech Support Team..

Thanks for your patience - Rx Tech Support worked all night restoring the data base to tip top condition which took longer than originally anticipated..

Have a great day everyone, wil...

PS. I am off today but Betallsports will be on duty and can be contacted at betallsports@therx.com if needed...

I'm still getting a threat detected from my antivirus web shield and it aborts the connection to the rx telling me a Trojan threat has been detected. Same thing that was happening yesterday. Typing this from my iPhone browser.

Can you please tell me what browser and anti-virus software you are using?

Avast Internet Security, everything updated.

Browser is Google Chrome, also tried IE9.

Avast aborts the connection to the Rx and tells me, Infection:HTML:RedirME.inf [Trj]

For some reason Avast Internet Security is flagging the Rx as a malicious website. The only way I can get here is to disable all the Web Shields in Avast.

Anybody else using Avast Internet Security and not having this same problem? The Free version of Avast and the Pro version (Anti-Virus only) don't have the same shields so if you're using those it wouldn't affect you the same.

Having the same problem. Avast has it blocked entirely.

We are doing all we can to resolve the situation at Avast..No other Anti Virus site that I know of is still issuing warnings about the virus that tried to infect the site last week that Rx Tech Support eliminated. I will post when it is resolved, which I hope is very soon..

Rx Tech Support is doing all it can to convince Avast that The Rx is not a virus threat to access..Unfortunately it involves a process that takes time. This being a weekend is not helping matters either..I use AVG an have zero problems. I believe AVG offers a free month to first time users of Security Software Anti Virus Protection that Avast users can download for protection when they disable Avast Web Shields to visit The Rx.com.

http://free.avg.com/ww-en/download-avg-anti-virus-free

At least using the free AVG for a little while you will be protected at no cost to you. I will post immediately when the situation changes at Avast..

Thanks, wil...
