Not on a casino style dice table. On a homemade or backroom table, Yes it's possible.
I'm not staying I can do it, but i've seen it done before.

Not a chance to control the dice!!!! Don't believe the hype, I have been involved in the game for 15 years and have never run across anyone that could control the dice. I have had and seen some great rolls, but not a consistent controlled roll cause it does not exist!!!!! Good luck!!!

I don't believe it either, dice have to hit the wall for roll to count. Once the dice hit the wall, control (if it could be done) is lost.

I've been playing craps for forty years and the biggest mistake I see players make (other than not having a clue how to play) is not charting the table before playing.

I've see many, many players walk in off the street right up to a table, buy in and start playing without knowing if the table is cold, choppy, warm or hot. Stupid!

Chart the table before playing and craps can be the best game in a casino.

Have you ever wondered why a craps table isn't a smooth surface against the wall, how it's got all those little edges. Those little edges or whatever you want to call them is to keep people from controlling the dice.

Bullshit.

Charting the table does absolutely nothing to change the house edge, nor is
it a predictor of future events. I.e. "cold, choppy, warm or hot."

Stupid is thinking that "charting" a table makes any difference at all.

While you are correct that the house edge is the same on each and every roll, we all know that crap tables, blackjack and other forms of gaming all run in hot and cold streaks. Tables that have turned cold generally have no customers at that moment while those that have turned hot are jammed with players trying to take advantage of the streak until it ends.

charting a Crap table ??? No Sir !

and Ted.... Yes you can watch and jump in at a BJ Table because the cards are running Hot. You can jump in at a crap table when it's hot. but in Craps the Dice are passed around ( You really can jump in at a Hot Roller ) but doesn't mean the table.

There could be a Hot roller that now Craps out.... What's the Next guy going to do ???

When I am referring to a hot craps table, I am not referring to a hot roller only, but one that is hot roller after roller until the table turns cold. I wouldn't try to squeeze in on a table just with one roller that happens to be hot, but watch the table for a short while looking for a realitively stable table (neither particularly hot or cold) and then move in when I notice the table beginning to warm up. It usually stays warm through a few rollers before turning cold. I play with the smallest house percentage of 1.41% by betting the minimum on the pass and come lines with the maximum odds placed behind each of them. I don't play any other bet on the table because the house percentage is too high.

No Numbers ?? hmm

and Yes I play almost the same way. But I like putting up on my numbers.
I don't play the come.

I think we would get a nice table going with you, me and a few hard core Crap players.

By playing the numbers (place bets) instead of playing the come (which is the same as the pass line), the payoff on your placement is not the exact 100% odds and you are giving the house more percentage. Odds example: Pass/Come: #4 & #10: 2/1, Place Bets: #4 & #10: 9/5.

The way I play, not only gives the house the smallest percentage possible, but I work my way up to the numbers and each roll is the same percentage to the house.

Nope! People mistakenly believe that because they are playing the house side. They are actually the same.

interesting. i actually play the same way you do - because i never wanted to be "that guy" betting the don't pass - but always thought i was losing a tiny bit of odds for doing so. good to know i'm losing at the smallest rate possible!

@) I know what you mean. The players aren't real happy when a 7 is thrown and the only guy at the table that collects is playing the Don't Pass!

once had a guy at the Table that played only the Don't Pass line.
He must have dropped about $20K

Sigh. The problem is that you can't look at past results in order to find out where in the hot or cold streak you are.
