I've been watching each of the first 10 games of this year's College World Series this year primarily because my alma mater Cal was one of the eight teams in the Series. Unfortunately, they got eliminated yesterday by top seeded Virginia. But it was a great year for the Bears as they were unseeded and came from a program that was going to be eliminated last September all the way to the Series and received 9 million dollars from the alum to keep their baseball program alive and well. I have made no wagers on the games and am making a play today which is a strong one so I thought I'd share.

5* Florida (-160) betonline (Won)
3* South Carolina (-115) betonline (Won)

Good luck everyone!

Awh Yes Awh Yes OMT as I gaze into the Leathery and Dusty Catcher's Mitt from College World Series Past, it is beginning to clear and through the haze the Garnet and Black colors of the South Carolina Gamecocks pertrude. The defending National Champions are some big hearted fellows also as they recently visited a children's hospital in Omaha giving encouragement to some very sick youngsters. The good deed will not go unrewarded in our gypsy world this evening OMT. Sprinkles Of Favor will be scattered over the South Carolina squad tonight by the Baseball Gods and the South Carolina mascot "Cocky" with the victory will again become a household word constantly repeated around bed and meal times to the agast of parents, teachers and clergy.

Well said! I thought posting tonight's play on the Gamecocks my just get your attention. Glad to hear the defending National Champions visited the children's hospital in Omaha. Good young men that will be able to put baseball in proper perspective with life. Well done! :toast:

My dad earned his Business Degree from South Carolina in the mid 1950's. My sister and her husband both graduated from the South Carolina Law School recently and are attorneys in Columbia the state capital. Both my sister and her husband have been published by the South Carolina Bar Association. And then there is me. A Clemson graduate in a world of South Carolina fans. But I tip my hat and say job extremely well done to my rival school when the situation is warranted as when the South Carolina football team knocks off a #1 Alabama team or a National Championship in baseball. When the stakes are this great as tonight for South Carolina looking to try and repeat the magic of last years run in The College World Series, my loyalities without question have to side with my home state and a suspension of hostilities is enforced. Otherwise when we vacation at the beach and my sister and her husband pick up the tab, I would have to chip in my fair portion. But all joking aside, the folks here in South Carolina regardless of individual collegiate loyalities can all be on the same sheet of music when our locals do good. Maybe more importantly we wonder who is going to bring the potato salad, the baked beans and the hotdogs to the tailgate party. Southerners have priorities you know.

I know. I watched him pitch against Cal. Quite frankly, he didn't impress me as much to warrant how high he was drafted. Let's see how he does facing an SEC team that is the defending NCAA Champion and sending Michael Roth with an 0.97 ERA. Best of luck to you. Best of luck to you as well tonight! :toast:

Saw some scuttle butt on another website about a 7.2 eathquake sometime today in the Aleutian Islands Alaska OMT. Hope you folks on the West Coast will not have any "Bad Vibrations" in the coming days. I suppose the Aleutian Islands are part of "The Pacific Ring Of Fire" that geologists speak of. I flew over Alaska and actually stopped in Anchorage in route to Okinawa Japan for refueling. Once again hope and pray West Coast of United States will be safe and out of danger.

Haven't heard anything today. If there are any coastal affects like we had from the earthquake in Japan, I suspect it will be minor only. Not to worry but thanks for your concern.
