housing and transportation are easily enough attained, affording to live here on an entry level job would be the hardest part. Especially if you plan on running around with Wapner and arent sitting on a nest egg. Costa Rica might very well be one of the most expensive countries in the world to live in, unless you can live off of coke and hookers because those are the only two things that are cheap here.

Let's get down to brass tacks. How much for the ap

Murph and Big bet both seem to want to give living in CR a shot.

IMO the quickest way would be for each of you to start taking bets here in the states (become a local).

Set low linmits so you don't get burnt.

Build a book of 100 or so clients over the course of the next 2 years.

If you could take those 100 clients with you, I would imagine it would make it easier to find a job that pays above average.

2 cents......

I would be new to this. I guess you need some kind of work Visa? Could you work for freeplays? lol

I am strongly considering giving it a 3 month run by years end. Working some things out here on my end.

How is public transportation? If I sharpen my poker skills I'm pretty sure you could make a living just of the card game at the Barcello(sp) the hotel we stayed when we were there last month.

NES, is CR your home country?

Are you serious about giving CR a try and making a living playing poker? I would do a trial run somewhere here in the States first, where there tourist with pockets full of $ and games 24/7.

I bet the hotel you stayed at in CR would give you a HELL OF A DEAL if you booked a room for a mth and only had maid service once a week.

Would be an easy way to give it a shot for a mth or so.

I bet you could get a deal of less than $2200 including the breakfast.

Most books will train an american or canadian since the taking calls is not difficult, and you already know all the team names. I once had to get rid of a girl here that tried to look up Cinci by typing in S. If you already know how to bet, you only have to learn the software, which is pretty obvious for the clerk side.

Down side is that the pay for a clerk usually is around $4-5/hour depending on experience.

Getting a lines job or customer service would just require you to shine in the wagering and you will move up quickly, as long as there are postions available.

Trying to find an apartment sucks, since no one wants to walk around looking, and online places are too expensive. I wouldn't live with anyone either cause ur stuff may start disappearing.
