I would like to find a way to have the search results from Google or yahoo list in chronological order..not in the order of most relevant.

is there a way to do that or a search engine that allows that sorting?

Many times a new search item that you might want to find is buried behind the pages and pages of older more relevant things that the search engine finds.

also how can you get the date of the search item listed so at least you could scan and see if this was new or old contest..

Thoughts?

When you go to google look to the right of the big text box you type into.

You will see a link that says ADVANCED search. Click on that.

Scroll down till you see this link Date, usage rights, region, and more

click on that.

then you will get the option of:
Anytime
past 24 hours
past week
past month
past year

click on one of those
