looking at a report, when in lockout the owners will drop the 62 mill flex cap and 2 billion guarantee in annual player payroll concessions.

instead they will go to a 45 mill hard cap(which i support), elimination of guaranteed contracts, and 33 percent salary cut.

the owners say they have no problems sitting out a year for the long term viability of the leagues finances.

i myself agree with some of it and disagree. i have no problems with what the owners want, but at the same time when is enough enough.

they claim to be losing money, but arnt opening the books.

i dont see how the players agree to this until it stars hurting them, which a year of no pay will.

gonna need a miracle. i agree though, i think stern is the best commish in the major sports. this league was nowhere popularity wise and financial wise until he got in charge.

i dismiss goodell because he was handed the keys to the ferrari and hasnt been around long enough.

selig is arguably the worst. the mlb make it count is one of the worst decisions in mlb history.

Good for the owners.

It comes to a point where enough is enough for these players...

Elite NBA players are woefully underpaid based on just basic economics of the business.

Also to the hard cap person, 45mill hard cap is stupid. The leagues problem is there isnt enough revenue sharing between owners and a few small market teams need to be folded but nobody has the balls to do it.

All the NBA needs to do is scale down the MLE and fold NO Hornets, Bobcats, Sacto but no commish wants contaction on their record so it wont happen. MLE is 5/33, it needs to be scaled to like 3/15.

LeBron James isnt overpaid, neither is Dirk, Kobe etc... Its the MLE guys all making 5/33, 4/25, 3/18 that are the main problem. There won't be a hard cap when the top teams can easily spend 80-90mill and not lose $. It is the bottom feeders that need to be removed.

Almost like if America was allowed to just kill 15% of the population. Its most unproductive, useless citizens. (I am not advocating this just making the analogy!)

Also if those owners want to make things more stable, why don't they revenue share more? There is very little revenue sharing in the NBA compared to MLB/NFL. Bulls/Lakers/Knicks/Heat/Celts/Mavs aint hurting for $

They should all just go to Europe to form super teams and play each other for a year. Would be insane...

The yanks need someone to play, so they have teams like the Brewers.

The lakers need someone to play so they have teams like N.O.

It could shut down forever, who cares really. The NBA is a horrible product. The NFL rules all.
