Yesterday former Alabama state Supreme court Justice Roy Moore (the ten commandments judge) suffered broken ribs after falling from a horse.
2 Days ago former Alabama governor Bob Riley was injured in a motorcycle crash in Alaska.
Judge Roy Moore has made news a couple of different times over the years regarding the display of the ten commandments. The first was when he refused to remove a display from his Etowah county court house , and then later after becoming state supreme court justice he defied the law again by erecting a large display in the lobby of the state courthouse. He was removed from office for the latter.
Moore has been planning a run for president in 2012 , even though he ran for governor of Al. last year and only finished 4th out of 5 candidates in the republican primary.
Former governor Bob Riley made news in 2010 when he created the state anti gambling task force which spent millions of dollars raiding dog tracks for running e-bingo games even though those machines had previosly been ruled legal by the supreme court. ... Riley and his self appointed task force commander claimed that the supreme court had mis-interpreted the law .. lol , you cant make this shit up.
Now that Riley is out of office the task force is shut down and the bingo games are back on , though with different type machines. ... just one huge waste of money and blatant abuse of power.
