Diamondbacks are 11-5 versus right-handers
Brewers are 5-11 on Monday
Arizona suffered a 7-2 road defeat Sunday afternoon against Oakland and returns to National League action by traveling to Milwaukee. "We got outpitched, we got outplayed," said Diamondbacks manager Kirk Gibson. "We didn't execute a couple of things on our side that made it harder on ourselves." The Diamondbacks are still 30-19 since May 13 and finished interleague action with an 11-7 record. The club had only one of its players named to the All-Star Game despite leading the NL West division, outfielder Justin Upton gained the honor and has hit .375 in his last 23 games. Arizona is 22-21 on the road this year.
Diamondbacks starting pitcher Daniel Hudson is 9-5 with a 3.49 ERA in 17 starts this season and didn't factor in the club's 6-4 win over the Indians on June 28. He allowed just two runs and six hits over eight innings of work in that particular contest, while also notching his 13th quality start. Over his last 13 starts, Hudson has posted a 9-1 record and 2.85 ERA, issuing just 14 walks and registering 66 strikeouts. He has made just one lifetime start versus the Brewers, picking up a victory by giving up two runs and seven hits in seven frames last year.
