Worst best buy experience ever!!!

I am extremely pissed off ##)

I will sum it up.
Went to Best Buy, bought a floor model TV for $1,400 cash. They bubble wrap it and carry it out to the car for me. They banged the TV on the way out to the car so I unwrap it and see it was damaged, huge crack in the screen. I immediately went back into the store to show them and of course no one cared. I called corporate and they said floor models are sold as is. Which I understand but it was damaged after I purchased it, and by their employees. After going back and forth and even getting on the phone with corporate they did absolutely nothing for me. and were very clear they would not exchange, repair, return or refund this purchase.

Any advise where to go from here?

these fuckers probably tried to sell you some premium HDMI cables too.

Your only out is contacting the maker of the tv.

Maybe it will fall under the warranty

go buy the same tv in the box! swap tv's and return back in the box all nice and sealed up!

or go buy a better more expensive tv and do the swap! as long as you open and seal the box back up with great detail the fools at best buy will never notice!

this was my 1st response to them and the manager refused to, saying he saw them bubble wrap and carry it out, when he wasnt even around. they bubble wrapped it very well because they didnt have a box for the displays

Paying with credit card next time.

In case something like that happens, all you need to do is bring the merchandise back to the store, and report a fraud to credit card company.

I only buy food in cash. Here is what you do. Go back and buy the exact same model Best Buy and put it on your credit card and dispute the charges and tell your credit card company that you received damaged goods but they refuse to take it back. Either way Best Buy will have to eat the chargeback or take your damaged tv back.

Many years ago I bought a phone and answering machine combo at best buy, I took it back and exchanged two times because it didn't work or broke in less then a week. When I brought it back the fourth time they offered to exchange and I said no I want my money back. The clerk said no, I said get a manager, the manager came and said no because I had did the original purchase over 30 days ago. I said that is bullshit and that each exchange lasted less then 30 days and I didn't want the the thing because it obviously was a bad product. They said that they wouldn't do anything except exchange. So I stayed at the exchange counter and bitched and said I wouldn't leave without my money back. I was creating a disturbance and eventually they gave me my money.

If that don't work stand in front of the entrance with a sign and tell people what they did to you. That may work.

Alot of electronics stores will carry big purchases outside to car but not help you load into car for this exact reason

Buying a used floor model TV with cash. How could you expect nothing bad to happen. Floor model TV's are burning all day long for months on end and all sorts of people tamper with display models. You pressed your luck and lost. You might as well have started out your thread with. I slept with a street hooker and didn't wear a condom and now....

Regardless, that doesn't give them the right to do what they did.
