A big NL East series starts tonight as Atlanta travels to Philadelphia with Philadelphia posting the best record in baseball at 55-33. Atlanta will bring a 53-36 record into tonight's contest and have won 9 out of their last 10. Halladay gets duty for game 1 tonight for Philadelphia coming off a complete game and is 11-3 2.44 ERA overall. Beachy gets the call for Atlanta and struck out 20 in his last two starts and is 3-1 3.23 overall. Halladay has not lost since May 15th and Philadelphia is 9-1 at home when Halladay starts. The Braves are 4-0 currently when Beachy starts on the road, but Philadelphia did retire Beachy just after two innings of work the last time the teams faced off and Beachy is 0-3 against Philadelphia overall. Victorino is doubtful and Polanco is questionable for Philadelphia for tonight but Utley currently has a .333 average in a 10 game hitting streak but is only 1-6 against Beachy overall. Atlanta will really have to bring their lunch pail tonight against Halladay as they get the opportunity to face the best in the business. Should be a great series for Phillies and Braves fans alike.
