Instead of sending the ball to an auction he gives the ball back and receives a bunch of tickets and suites from the Yankees who still ripped him off after his nice gesture. He could have easily had $250,000 if not more. Considering he is only 23 (something like that) and other factors, what was he thinking????????

P.S. Most RX degens here would have taken the money :):):):):):)

and not think twice about it.

He could have gotten alot more than ($250,000 at least) instead of just tickets, suites, and a meeting with Jeter.

Signed balls???
I could have my balls licked by Reese Witherspoon and I'd still take the dough.

I wouldve made the yanks sign me to a 1 year 10mill deal in the big leagues and replace Aj Burnett with me in the rotation.

complete ass clown!!! You have very few opportunities in life to make a score and make your life better and this guy just missed one and maybe his last.. He could have bought balls, shirts, and tix after he sold the ball...

He calls himself a fan and doesn't even know that. I'm not even a Yankee fan and I, along with many people knew that. Jeter has been playing forever so you would think he would know that. What a pendejo.

Would have taken the cash. Memorabilia and Autographs are worthless in the grand scheme of life.
Buying a house, paying off his bills, Etc is more sound than something signed with a sharpie to collect dust.

The right thing?. Really? Here's the part I find disgusting. Jeter, everyone's "classy" guy didn't give him shit. Here, this guy makes 176,000 a game and gives the chump his fucking autograph. WOW!!! Now that's "CLASSY" Jeter is like most ball players, a scumbag. I don't want to hear about how "classy" this guy is. And that kid is a damn fool. Keep on taking it up the ass sports fans.
