What is your system for playing craps?

How exactly do you guys like to bet when you play craps and what have you guys had success doing? I understand the math behind craps so I don't need a lesson on negative expectations. I love the game and was just wondering how else you guys play and find enjoyment. Do you like to press at all or do you take things down when they hit?

I like pass line with single odds (10$ and 10$) and to place the 6 and 8 pressing every other hit (12$ six and eight).

I keep it simple. Pass line and odds bet max bet on the odds. If the shooter is making numbers I will play a few come bets with odds

Why would you bet Single Odds behind the Pass line ?? That's your Bread & Butter :think2:

I like single odds because I enjoy playing a while. If I walk up to a 10$ table with $500 and it's 20x odds, that gives me 2.5 bets if I play the line and full odds. So I chop my money up to give me some ways to get hot.

Would never tell someone else how to play, but This is What I look for All the time.
"Odds"

Most Casinos don't like to give heavy odds as it's a plus for the player.

also, if a Table has 20X Odds ( not many do ) it doesn't mean you need to put that much behind your pass line bet.

But I could understand your Grind... I would still place at Least double behind.

Just my 2cents

I play the pass line w/ odds (usually double) and the "inside" numbers for a single unit. I'll usually pull down the inside bets (or the 5 & 9) if they hit a time or two.....

I've had some fun (and winning) playing Craps....but I've also lost quickly....

If you are a "right bettor" you are and always will be a "LOSER". The only successful craps players in history have been "Dont" bettors

One Caviat.................And it took me while to accept this....Rhythmic Rollers take the casinos for untold amounts of cash. Ya find one ride em and throw em a tip when ya color up!!!

i buy in for $200....play passline only until it is my turn to roll....when i roll after I open my number, i load up the board, max out the back odds on my pass bet.....crap out in next 2-3 rolls, and leave the table with $0

assuming i'm playing with everyone.... single wager on pass line, 2x odds behind, and place the 5 and 9. normally press once then let it go, unless tables on fire and i'll go up another unit on the place bets.

and i'm a sucker for the horn hi - yo

on a side note, best ever craps story was in vegas, at excalibur of all places. earlier on my trip, i rolled three snake eyes in a row.. dealer says 'if you throw a lot of craps, you know what a parlay would pay' ..... said i never thought of it, but the next day started playing 3 way crap $1 each. i throw a 12, and say parlay it. dealer was going to put it equal on all 3, and i say 'no, all of it on 12'..... he's like ok, you sure...... and i said yeah, go with it. rolled another 12 for like $900 and change..

pissed most of it back over the weekend, but not bad for a $1 bet.

People always think I'm crazy but I never place odds. It's just bad luck for me whine I have odds's they 7 out. I like to make sure I have inside no 9 and then play the field bet. Here in Laughlin everyone has 3.00 craps but you have to place for 5.00. So I put 3 on feild and place the 5,6,8 and long as they are rolling anything but 7 I'm makeing money. Best of all I can take 100 and play all day while watching all the bikini girls pass through on the way to the beach.

Someone told me this system is called The Iron Cross I didn't know and just figured it out on my own.

He is right though. Sure there are hot rollers at times, everyone will see them if they play enough.

Back in the day, I was being tutored in Craps by a high roller from the East Coast. He was a record exec and came to Vegas frequently. Anyway, he was explaining the different betting options, while trying to keep track of his bets at the same time. As you can imagine, it became more difficult as the table became full. I'm playing nickels as he's tossing black and green chips around. He throws a green chip at the dealer and requests "yo". It's not the "come out" and he continues talking to me as the dice are thrown....sure enough "11"! He continues to talk about my bets and his "buy bets" up top. Well, the dealer pays the "yo" bet and leaves the chips on the table next to the original bet and the dice are thrown again before this guy even notices the payoff ($375). Guess what? the dice come up ELEVEN again! Now there's commotion as the payoff is now $5625. My tutor scooped up his chips as he chuckled about not paying enough attention......he also cautioned me about never putting any money on the eleven.

A word of advice for anyone who has never played craps, or is inexperienced.

System or no system, the worst thing you have going against you is actually the Craps table casino crew.

Some of them scams, some really just don't know the odds, and can't do quick math.

Not to mention there is A LOT going on at a craps table for both the pit crew, and players.

WHEN YOU ARE PAID, BE SURE TO COUNT YOUR CHIPS!!!

It seems that Craps has been a Hot Subject over the past Month.

Everyone has there own way of Playing Craps .... Not going to go back and forth with some that Don't make sense at All.

I'm sure we have All Won & Lost... and That's Gambling. puff_>>
