thing is, we have a bunch of everyday americans running this country. most are in debt, with no money mangement skills whatsoever.

that's great about this country.......you can be the biggest moron out there, and as long as you talk a good game you get elected. just like anything, if you are a bullshitter, you are set

Very true. All bullshitters get exposed at some point though, usually it's too late...

In 2015 we saw the smallest percentage increase in the National Debt since 1966: https://www.treasurydirect.gov/govt/reports/pd/histdebt/histdebt.htm

The exponent used in the past few years has been a lot smaller than the one we were using from 2002-12. If the past 30 years are any indication, the Republicans borrow-and-spend ideology does far more damage to the National Debt than the Democrats tax-and-spend

Um, so what? In the years before that the maggot added over 6 trillion.

  • Y 2015 - $327 billion
  • FY 2014 - $1.086 trillion.
  • FY 2013 - $672 billion.
  • FY 2012 - $1.276 trillion.
  • FY 2011 - $1.229 trillion.
  • FY 2010 - $1.652 trillion.
  • FY 2009 - $253 billion. (Congress passed the Economic Stimulus Act, which spent $253 billion in FY 2009. This rare occurrence should be added to President Obama's contribution to the debt.)

It's so comical to me that the left and Obama get ripped over the debt when the truth is the republicans have done so much worse adding to the debt since Reagan.

Reagan added 186% to the national debt in 8 years
Bush added 54% in 4 years.
Clinton added 32% in 8 years
Bush added 101% in 8 years
currently Obama has added roughly 60% in 7 years.

Don't get me wrong, not having a balanced budget is complete bullshit no matter what, but don't sit there and act like the dems just run up debt while the gop is fiscally responsible.

Americans obviously don't care about the national debt or government spending. People can pretend they do, but they don't.

We've been voting in politicians to expand the size of the federal government since FDR. Which spans the entire lifetime of 99% of the posters on this forum (Wilbur excluded)
