I'm still deciding and wanting to get a few ideas. I'm hearing that St. George is a very quirky course with extra deep bunkers, more rolling hills than your average links course, and no prevailing winds. Which should make it extra tough. I'm looking to take at least two longshots. Oosterhuizen (sp?) was a 200-1 shot last year, and he won it by seven strokes. And the last 5 winners have come from Europe.. So no pick is crazy imo.

Sergio....he's been knocking on the door this year and played the course well last time

Frederik Jacobson
Padraig Harrington

If you can't tell, I'm taking good ball strikers that are grinders in hopes of strong winds and a winning score around par

I agree. Somebody who can control their trajectory and distance with their irons is a must when you have all of the blind shots that are on this course. Having a great caddy couldn't hurt either.

Watney is now 40/1 at 5dimes. good value
I saw where Bo Overton has finsihed 13th and 9th at the Open the last two years. He seems to be getting closer to figuring it out. So he may not be a bad American play.

Chubby Chandler (rory mccilroy manager) said he has a feeling sergio is winning this week as well. It would be a good story with Seve and all.

Sergio, or as I've come to think of him CHOKE-IO is notorious for great day 1 or day 2 rounds but then hes a great bet against guy for head to head bets.

Only guy that makes sense is MacIlroy. I think he rides his momentum to solid victory.

Best of luck to all.

What's the odds on Sergio? He seems to be playing better of late.

25/1 for me, I've heard you can find 33/1.....sergio has played well all year, especially in tournaments with wind....he can hit a driver 300 yards that never gets above 12 ft in the air.

Why would anybody bet on mccilroy at 6/1? Good luck with that USCMD

It would be ironic if an American wins the British Open considering the European dominance in majors as of late

I'm a little leery of any golfer (with the exception of the old Tiger Woods) who hasn't played a tournament between majors. That's why I'm not touching McIlroy.

Solid card red eye. Good luck........since you are holding me responsible on Jacobson, can I get a piece of the pie when he beats Stenson, jk....
Hopefully we can add Rory and Westwood tomorrow with better odds.
