Found a used Volvo convertible I'm interested in. A little old, but only 80k miles, everything looks good, price is right....

Any opinions or experience?

Expensive to fix if they ever break, but they don't break often....only reason I didn't buy my wife one last year. Super nice cars though imo

My wife's car is a 2007 Volvo xc90. She loves it! I really don't like the way it accelerates. And of course it is an suv and I don't like the way it handles...... I gues after driving my 2007 BMW 325 ci I should expect that. Fabulous in the snow also!

Drove one for a short stint back in '86. Was a family truckster and was as solid as could be. That car is probably still driving today it was made so well. Never, ever had any problems with it.

The only item I wasn't 100% fond of already mentioned above was the acceleration. It would take a few seconds after you pushed the petal for the accel to actually kick in. If you didn't floor it the acceleration was just fine.

Volvo is the safest car to be in during an accident from what ive read & been told. My sister has a Volvo & loves it. I have never driven it or driven one but have been a passenger in plenty of Volvos & would say they are very nice automobiles.

Also, my friends dad has a 30 year old Volvo that is still going with over 300,000 miles on it.

Awesome in the snow and pricey to fix are the top two things that come to mind about Volvos

expensive to repair, and the acceleration is absolutely awful. I cry a little bit inside when school buses pass me at lights.

Not worth the maintenance costs...unless you can fix it yourself.

With 80K on it, you had better factor in setting aside the cost for a new or rebuilt tranny. Many Volvo models are notorious for bad transmissions.
